I remember, after I saw Holiday and Conley going head to head, that Holiday was far better and obviously was younger and had more upside. I thought he embarressed Kyrie too and D-Will is a name at this point, not an elite PG anymore. In fact, he has a worse contract than Gordon IMO.

Wall is a debate and so is Lowry, but a big part of the debate is Holiday's price tag, is it not. Now, look at that list, including what Lowry is projected to get and Lillards next contract. Dragic and Curry are fantastic bargains, but Holiday is too. I mean, Wall vs. Holiday is a debate, but Wall is making close to 12 mil more than Holiday over the next 3 years. I would say that is a good tiebreaker.

When you combine value and production, I got him in the top 8.

Holiday isn't a bargain until he proves it with his production. Dragic and Lillard have proven that already but Holiday hasn't come close to matching the type of efficiency needed to match his contract.

EXACTLY what I have been seeing when going back. You replace Aminu with a guy teams have to respect and this is a top 3-5 offense that just needs to continue to jell defensively

I want to see this debate play out. P78 has been tooting this horn on Holiday for a long time about his inefficiency. If I had to bet, MM is factoring Holiday's ability to play both sides of the ball & expected offensive progression into the value equation.

That AND doing away with Gordon. Holiday was just so much better w/o him last year. The Holiday/Tyreke pairing was an unstoppable force. Jrue was more aggressive in the half court and Tyreke killed teams in transition. Notice, the Portland game just talked about - who was missing from that game. Oh yeah - Eric Gordon! Get him off this team and pair Holiday with Tyreke more often and his numbers will be fine.

Another thing is that Roberts needs to give up the ball when a switch occurs. He seems to always try to take the big guy off the dribble instead of letting his big guy post up. Jrue gave it up almost every time.

Yet he can still ball out like crazy. That's about what I so with my summer to. I don't want him either and I doubt Washington let's him go cause he was huge of their bench. He may not be athletic but he has high iq. Knows how to play the game.

Actually, if I remember correctly, Holiday had reached up to 52% TS before the shin splits starting effecting him and he had the terrible 4 game stretch.

There's no telling were we are in the lotto if not for this trade. If say Burke was the guy at 6 like MM says. We are still likely shipping Lopez and Vasquez and I doubt we sign and trade for Evans. So logically we are picking higher than 10th.

Well considering Jrue and Tyreke wouldn't be here under that scenario the injury bug wouldn't have been quite as painful.

I get what you're saying, but I would say the odds or much greater that we end up higher had we had not done the Holiday trade.

While Vasquez very likely may still have been traded, I don't think we would have moved Lopez if we didn't sign Tyreke. Shoot, under this scenario, I think we could have signed Tyreke and kept Lopez since we wouldn't have had Jrue's contract.

And who knows, maybe Ryan Anderson doesn't get hurt if we didn't bring in Jrue and maybe Tyreke.

Not really. But again going down the "what if rabbit hole" is a never ending journey. My point is you can't look at the past #10 picks as we have no idea we'd be selecting there in this alternate universe.
