Thread: 2014 Playoffs - Geaux CP3

If I was a Pacers fan, I'd hate these refs. Lotta ticky tack fouls

The most overused words on Pelicansreport.com. Wrongly, I might add.

ELITE - (often used with a plural verb) the choice or best of anything considered collectively, as of a group or class of persons.

GREAT - notable; remarkable; exceptionally outstanding

These words should not be used lightly

Lebron just got a foul for being big. Smh

Chris Bosh has to officially change his name to Cristo Boshovic.

Pacers still, STILL need a PG in the worst way.

Pacers are being run out of the gym, my lord their offense is just horrible.

  8. #683
Dam refs making sure the pacers don't get this lead down to single digits huh.

The Pels second team runs a more creative and effective offense than the Pacer starters.

He rebounds and score like a pass-first one.

I think Roy Hibbert is an old, old wooden ship.

He certainly couldn't get into any sort of rhythm with all those fouls they were calling on him. That game last night was bad, but the pace at which it was played was worse. It seemed like every 30 seconds there was another foul being called.
If you Jimmer it, they will come.

Indiana still gets away with far more fouls than they are actually called for, like the Bulls. They both have hideous offenses but at least Chicago has a plan and structure.

As far as actual fouls called, I tend to not enjoy watching teams with a high free throw rate. Mainly because I hate the constant interruption of play and watching free throws is damn boring.

Bosh flopped and that was a bad call on Hibbert

I agree with the Throne. Bosh is officially no longer a low post player

Duh? He is still extremely good at what the Heat need him to do. http://grantland.com/features/chris-...areer-scoring/

A relevant bit from that article:

    Quote Originally Posted by Grantland
Bosh is now a two-time champion, a nine-time All-Star, and an 11-year veteran. He turned 30 in March. Between playing in obscurity in Toronto and in the shadows of James and Wade in Miami, his unique versatility as a scorer remains generally unheralded. There are two shooting stats from the 2013-14 season that really demonstrate the diversity and potency of Bosh’s game. The first shows just how good he is at scoring near the basket: Of 99 NBA players who attempted at least 300 shots inside of 8 feet, Bosh ranked fourth in efficiency.

    1. LeBron James, 75 percent
    2. DeAndre Jordan, 68 percent
    3. Kevin Durant, 67 percent
    4. Chris Bosh, 67 percent
    5. Dwyane Wade, 66 percent

The Heat have three of the five most efficient interior scorers in the NBA. That says a lot about how well they have come together as a team since 2010. Bosh has always been good near the basket, but in Miami, unlike in Toronto, many of his baskets are assisted. He attributes his strong close-range numbers to his teammates.

“That success near the rim speaks to not only their aggressiveness, but their unselfishness and their ability to create for others. Dwyane and LeBron are two of the best finishers in the game, and I’m wide open most of the time,” he says, laughing.

The second stat reveals just how lethal Bosh is as a midrange jump-shooter. Of 67 NBA players who attempted at least 300 midrange shots this season, these are the top three in efficiency:

    1. Dirk Nowitzki: 50 percent
    2. Stephen Curry: 49 percent
    3. Chris Bosh: 48 percent

That’s pretty good company. And while Nowitzki and Curry enjoy reputations as elite shooters, many people still don’t realize just how reliable Bosh is as well. He takes a lot of pride in his jumper. He’s near the top of that midrange list every year, and he wishes he were at the very top of it.

The whole flow of the game changes when LBJ is on the court. Indiana should be ashamed that they gave that lead up

I wish Paul George would make up his mind. Are you on THAT level or aren't you?

And who told Rashard Lewis to be relevant again?

    GET OUT OF MY HEAD!!!!!

I hope the Pacers realize that Lebron is probably going for 50 in the next game. He'll have zero fouls and be on a mission to make up for last game.

And the refs won't stand in his way either.
