Positions are meaningless, I like Jrue as a secondary ball handler, he might be one of the best players in the league in that role. But he can't be a primary ball handler and more importantly, shot creator on the level of any of those guys unless he improves his game significantly. I honestly wouldn't mind bringing in another "point guard" that has that potential to play in the backcourt with Jrue.

Tyreke Evans is a natural pg. he need to be the primary ball handler.

You criticize Jrue for not being a distibutor then compare him to guys like Lillard and Conley who consistently average less assists. Obviously Jrue is more of a scorer than a typical PG -- ahem, I mean, primary ballhandler -- but he is a capable passer as well. I agree that in an ideal system you put an extra ballhandler with him, but I don't understand why we're criticizing Jrue when he's likely the least of our problems next to AD.

But he lacks the consistency and ability to create efficient shots outside of transition and semi transition. Tyreke needs the ball on the move or at least when the bigs aren't set in the paint. When the bigs are their and Tyreke get into the paint he struggles to finish effectively around the rim or make the extra pass. A lot of it can be attributed to spacing, but not all of it. He's great at getting into the paint on Iso's but that doesn't cause the defense to scramble as much as a pick and roll. But Tyreke can't run the pick and roll because any half knowledgeable perimeter defender will just go under the screen. If Tyreke could develop a descent jumper the screen would be effective and then a big would have to step up to guard Reke in space and then good luck. But Tyreke as he currently is will never be a consistent, efficient, primary or even secondary perimeter shot creator.

It's not really about assists, just from the eye test Jrue doesn't cause the defense to scramble and rotate and react the way those guys do. Also it's in his nature to sort of defer to others on offense. I like Jrue a lot as a player, I'm not saying we should get rid of him, but I am saying the search for perimeter playmakers is not over.

He averaged 20-5-5 his first year in the league playing pg. Sacramento moved him to sg and then to sf and his numbers declined. He's always been a pg and is good at it. He's a natural pg. how many pgs are avg 20-5-5 in this league?

Darrell Williams from the Advocate said it best. The Heat often win in spite of Chalmers. We showing you the good, the bad, the ugly.

And this is for the hood. You got to love me.

Stevenson is earning a new contract tonight. All eyes were on him for Dwayne Wade comments, and he is handling things like a champ.

    Mama! Der goes dat man!
If you Jimmer it, they will come.

If her weren't so cantankerous, I'd like Stevenson. But...he is. So whatever. Just want his team to win so the Heat don't.

I hate being that guy, but I am with you E, I really don't want the Heat to win. I would prefer Mark Jackson and Stephen A Smith providing a soundtrack of my life than watching the Heat win it all again.

Right there with you guys on the heat. I'm really pulling for the pacers to win it all.

I just don't understand how inept the pacers can look on the offensive side of the ball at times. It's just sad. Smdh

It's the main reason I don't like watching the games they play in. At least half of it is awful to watch.

Uno, that soundtrack will give me nightmares.

Paul George is overrated. His offensive moves are so weak.

Emeka Okafor - Joe Smith - Carmelo Anthony - Manu Ginobili - Jason Williams

Al Jefferson - James Posey - Aaron McKie - Shaun Livingston

He's not a number one. But he's going to have to become one. Only person with the talent to measure up to guys like Melo, Durant, etc.

The Pacers should be nervous. LBJ still hasn't played well yet. You know it's coming.

haha go Spurs. I actually like the Thunder, but I want the Spurs to get one more ring. A victory for smart basketball.

    Remember when Evan Turner existed?

  23. #648
Chris Bosh aka the artist formerly known as a power forward. He's a 6"11 guard now
The most overused words on Pelicansreport.com. Wrongly, I might add.

ELITE - (often used with a plural verb) the choice or best of anything considered collectively, as of a group or class of persons.

GREAT - notable; remarkable; exceptionally outstanding

These words should not be used lightly

Unfortunately, yes. It's best if the Pacers don't play him, though.
