And......down go the clips bwahahahahahaah maybe next year cpME

maybe one day you can be on a team as good as the Hornets chris, maybe.

  4. #554
Not a single team left in the playoffs is a big market team. Sure Miami and SA are big cities, but they aren't your traditional big market teams.

Hurray for people that say "the NBA favors big markets." Because they can't say it this year.
If you Jimmer it, they will come.

I'm ready for silver to do away with conferences. It's needed badly.

Word, but the Wiz and Hawks made for some good ball. You remove conferences and you don't have those two teams pushing Indy to the limit.

Ehhh I loved those series as well but the pros far outweigh the cons. The hawks didn't deserve to be in the playoffs to begin with. The heat are heading I got he conf finals pretty much unscathed. Just not fair to the west at all.

"I'm not going to allow my putative owner to answer that question, this is an NBA related press conference. Paul Tagliabue and Roger Goodell have collectively sung their praises of Tom and if uh ESPN has a problem with that tell Mr. Skipper to call me at my office."

80-6 conferences, keep divisions though. Or at MINIMUM. Change it so the top 10 teams, or keep it at 12, whatever, those guys make it in. With division winners getting automatic berths. But not guaranteed home court or a higher seed than someone with a higher record that happens to play in a tough division.

If the Heat threepete then it's great for them but I feel like I'll always have to mention that they did play in maybe the worst conference in sports history during that stretch. It stinks because they very well may be the best team this season (when they care) but it's so hard to know since the only time they'll be tested is after a very easy schedule against whatever battle-ridden team they play against.

i made the mistake of going back & watching 07-08 hornets playoff highlights. such a great time & such bad management cutting down a great team before it's prime. what a shame

Well the only change this season would of been Atlanta out and Phoenix in.

But in that scenario Miami would of been a 4 seed and Indiana would of been playing Toronto, Chicago or Phoenix(not quite sure how there record would shake out in seeding with being tied 3 ways) while Miami would be playing Brooklyn I think in the first round and then either Indiana or one of those other three in the second round and then San Antonio or Oklahoma before even making it to the championship.

It would of been an extremely interesting playoffs IMO.

Yea I agree with it all.

Exactly. This is a no brainer to happen. Sooner rather than later too.

Exactly how I feel. Miami has to win 2 tough series for a championship while the west team has to win. 4. It's just not right, and hopefully it gets fixed.

And let's also think about how the current system affects the Pelicans.

Realistically the only teams that aren't gonna be competing for a playoff spot in the West next season are the Kings, Jazz and the Lakers. And frankly even the latter two could make a surprise turnaround. Now go look at the East and you will see a bunch of bubble teams that are where they are solely because of the weak conference.

The current system really hurts the pelicans chances at the playoffs.

Whereas a conference irrelevant system with divisions better evens out the regular season schedule and gives our team a much better shot at getting into the playoffs.

Pacers must win this game 1 to set the tone. I'm taking the pacers in 7 in this series.

My word how the hell did the refs not call that A travel on lebron?? That's ridiculous

I'd be pretty surprised if the Heat didn't win this series in 6. I expect the Spurs to take the Thunder in 7.

The pacers out played them this season. They just got sluggish and towards end of season and struggled early in first series vs hawks. They get up for the heat and we will see the best pacers team in this series. Will be fun to watch. I'll honestly be shocked to see the pacers get taken out in 6 with them having home court.

The Pacers came out with some intensity. Let's see if they can keep that up when they get down. Hibbert and D West are gonna have to play tough on both ends to beat the Heat inside. Make the Heat start taking contested jumpers and you've got a shot.

Lebron just bulls over people to the hoop and consistently takes 3 steps while doing it.

Yea I agree. They were the best home team this year I believe. 35-6

What a horrible tick pay tack foul on George. Smdh...on the other end lebron trucks over George and knocks him 7 feet backwards to the ground and no call. Sounds abt right

My goodness. Pacers just keep committing the stupidest, most careless mistakes I've ever seen. Dam.
