Thread: 2014 Playoffs - Geaux CP3

just a stunner to see that epic collapse... not just by the Clippers as a team... but specifically by CP3

he should know better than to do that challenge on Westbrook on what was a horrid shot w/ 6 seconds left... then to be stripped on the last play... just... wow CP... wow

As much as I wanted to see the clippers lose, they got robbed of that game.

    Horrible officiating.

Emeka Okafor - Joe Smith - Carmelo Anthony - Manu Ginobili - Jason Williams

Al Jefferson - James Posey - Aaron McKie - Shaun Livingston

he's no longer needed since there aren't nearly as many games

Right but he's one of the best. I can name a few that are rolling rt now that need to be replaced by him. Webber IMO is just horrible. He just rants at times and u can tell he doesn't even know where he's going with it at times. It's painful at times.

Not saying Porter is what pushes them forward, I am just saying he is one of the pieces that should improve next season. Who knows, maybe they trade Porter off for a piece that moves them further. Either way, their front court is just as strong as their backcourt. And it's pretty interesting to see Gortat and Nene, two guys who were afterthoughts, just have monster game after monster game. I hope they can keep this up.
If you Jimmer it, they will come.

Sorry but I absolutely 100%. Agree with leaving it with okc even tho it looked to be out on Jackson. It was an obvious foul and okc getting the ball keeps it the right way and actually okc still getting screwed at that moment cause he should've been at the line for 2.

Westbrook is amazing. He misses a shot at the end of a game and he gets roasted alive, but when he makes plays like he did tonight, you forget who the MVP on that team is.

    Agreed.

"I'm not going to allow my putative owner to answer that question, this is an NBA related press conference. Paul Tagliabue and Roger Goodell have collectively sung their praises of Tom and if uh ESPN has a problem with that tell Mr. Skipper to call me at my office."

This is why the NBA has a bad rap and its totally deserved. Instead of just eating the missed foul on Reggie Jackson the officials to decided, unilaterally, to award the ball back to OKC even though its clear as day that Reggie touched it last.

He's electric for sure. I just wish he could calm down at times. He gets out of control at times.

So the right thing is to give the ball to the clippers and the thunder get screwed? It is a no win situation.

You're wrong. Fouls are arbitrary calls that can not be reviewed unless in the instant of a flagrant. Yes there is a cosmically right, but there is also a legal right. You don't right cosmic wrongs by going outside what is legal. Protect the integrity of the game.

Even on that last play. Paul was fouled AND there should have been a kick-ball. Neither was whistled.

No its not. All leagues have systems that rate ref performance for their judgment. The refs will be handled accordingly, and yes that's unfortunate for the Thunder, but that is part of the game. Going outside of what is clearly noticeable to replay is just gross negligence.

  19. #494
Sorry but that cam angle head on does not show conclusive evidence that it went off Jackson.

  20. #495
It's slightly below the Russell Wilson game winning interception. The refs screwed the Clipps tonight, but the Thunder got screwed as well.

  21. #496
These flagrant fouls being called are just out of hand. The nba has changed so much from the 90s.

Doesn't matter. It clearly showed that Barnes didn't touch it.

Exactly and that's why I say it's a no win situation. The refs didn't lose the game for the clippers. The clippers lost the game in the last 3 minutes.

When Barnes swiped and hit his hand the ball was in his hand. Barnes fingers touched the ball.

I just saw a better angle now. Jackson followed thru and hit ball last but Barnes did touch ball when he initially hit his hand.
