He went there to win championships and has two rings to show for it.

"I'm not going to allow my putative owner to answer that question, this is an NBA related press conference. Paul Tagliabue and Roger Goodell have collectively sung their praises of Tom and if uh ESPN has a problem with that tell Mr. Skipper to call me at my office."

Miami's offense is efficient largely because Bosh is a credible 3pt shooter,

You say this addressing me like I'm not aware of this. Which why I said his "personal game" not his overall team success.

Miami's offense is largely efficient due to having the world's best player on the team. Bosh almost shot them out of the game yesterday in the last two minutes. He went 1 for 3. It just so happens that the one made attempt was a big one. Bigs need to play big not like guards. I hate that almost as much as I hate on fast breaks when nobody runs the lanes for a lay-up. Everyone wants to shoot that corner 3. They'll pass up a 99% shot for a 40% shot. That's dumb basketball IMO.

Not only did Bosh take 2 misssed 3 pointers one wasn't any where near his range. The one that he made was the corner 3. Which is in his range and a much more acceptable shot for him.

Bosh plays like a worse shooting Ryno at this point of his career. Of course I know he is better on the defensive end, but his offensive game is all jumpers. Again, another example of a guy becoming a better outside shooter and falling in love with it; abandoning other parts of his game. Be careful what you wish for.

This is an assumption that Bosh's increase jumper rate is solely him and not the offensive system.

No I wasn't implying that. Just pointing out that Bosh, while probably not aware of the extent to which his personal game would suffer, still made a conscious effort to sacrifice it for the sake of experiencing team success, which he has.

Have to agree with Da ThRONe here. Their offense is predicated on spacing as it opens up driving lanes for LBJ and Wade to attack or kick out, which often leads to a series of swings that results in an open perimeter shot. I think if you put Bosh on another team, you see a lot more versatility in his game. Particularly driving to the basket and face ups from midrange.

Yeah that's why I made sure I included my point that it's his personal game that suffers. It's sort of a waste of talent IMO, but I think no lesser of him for it.

    John Freaking Wall.

It's conceivable that the Wizards next year will be as good as the Pacers were supposed to be this year. The talent across the board, the hopeful growth of Porter. There is plenty of reason for people in DC to be excited.
If you Jimmer it, they will come.

What happened to Joel meyers? Haven't heard him on a broadcast for a while now.

Broadcasting rotation probably tightens as the number of games reduce.

I agree, the future is bright for the Wizards.

He had been working out at Elmwood in One Shell for a while. Haven't seen him around the gym lately. Dude is great at his craft. Shame we couldn't get a Gerry Joel combo.

I suggest not putting any hope in Porter being the thing that pushes them to the Pacers level next year. Firstly, he won't be able to play any with Ariza and Webster. And second, he's had just as bad season as Rivers 1st year. He will need a couple years at least.

HahahahahahahHh nah h HhhA and he chokes the game away on the last play. Eat it paul

  22. #472

Wow. Chris Paul single-handedly choked that game (and most likely the series) away.

    OKC needs Westbrook.

    End of story.

  25. #475
And this is the good u get from Westbrook with the bad. Well worth it IMO. Paul looked like a statue standing in front of Westbrook on defense.
