Sources close to the situation report that the first call of NBA Free Agency was from the Houston Rockets to Carmelo Anthony. Anthony is the Rockets top priority this offseason, and they are reportedly prepared to put a max offer in front of him. Decision could come as early as Wednesday, sources indicated.

I'll be starting my Pistons presser soon. Only need to fill that twelfth spot but it won't be that interesting to hold off for.
I think you did a great job with the Ridnour deal and now the resigning. You're on your way to being an Eastern Conference contender for many years. Hopefully Martin can step up to become a consistent offensive force.

Emeka Okafor - Joe Smith - Carmelo Anthony - Manu Ginobili - Jason Williams

Al Jefferson - James Posey - Aaron McKie - Shaun Livingston

He started getting there last year. PPG tailed off a bit once Ridnour came on board and helped him out a bit. I still feel like scoring could come from anywhere on the floor but it would be nice to see Martin get closer to the 20 a game range. That would be a pleasant surprise.

Honestly I think Martin needs to be an 18-20 ppg kind of for your team to be a consistent 50-55 win team and I think he is close to being that guy.

He spent the better part of the year at 17 so it was at least close. We'll see. That has been my approach on him since I drafted him. Haha.

Yeah having no cap makes the off-season sooooooo boring. This is the first year I've experienced it and it will probably be that way for the foreseeable future. But it'll be worth it. I'm excited for the season to start. I won my first play-off series and felt like I could have went much further barring injuries. And I made a huge upgrade at the 2. If I land one of these guys with my MLE I'll be very very happy.

But it has been interesting just watching the off-season show this year rather than being a part of it.

"I don't know if people know — I dislocated my pinkie finger. And [Tyreke] told me, 'You wanna go home or you wanna be here?' I want to be here. And he said, 'All right, then go tape it up and let's play. Let's go. We not stoppin' at no stores. Straight gas. That's what we do, just keep going.'"

Wouldn't undrafted imply he was in a draft. Sounds like a voided contract to me.

He never had a contract to be voided.

I would compare this to overseas guys but even they have to go thru the draft. I guess this would be more like a Brian Roberts or Gustavo situation.

You said he had a Raptors contract; I was playing along.

Also Ayon and Roberts were in the draft at one point. the only reason i know is i was looking up a draft class like last seasona nd say Ayon. that punk

Since no one seems to believe me, here is a photo of Anderson's contract that was submitted to the league.

Well that clears that up. I can respect the fact that the man cannot spell years, but puts his nickname in his signature.
