Well I remember some stupid people saying we won't be able to attract any big FAs cause they wouldn't want to play for a team called the Pelicans.

Relax peeps. It was a bit of sarcasm in my disapproval of the jersey release today. Big Dubs were the way to go. This was amateur hour. They look like a practice jersey.
Of course this won't play into Oden's decision..............I hope.
I'm sure nobody really liked the Hornets original colors and design when it first came out but it became a cult icon and is still talked about in today's circle as making a comeback because Michael Jordan wants to ruin the legacy of a once proud franchise. All this displeasure for the jersey will be nothing more than a memory as time will wash this all away and more and more people will be comfortable with it when the season actually gets started. It's a nice set of jerseys. I actually can't wait to get the Blue ones but all of this displeasure over the piece of clothing someone wears is really rather silly.

The difference is the uniqueness of the Hornets colors. The same can't be said for the New Orleans scheme. Those will not become a cult icon, I can now guarantee you.

The Charlotte Hornets have become a fashion statement. It seems more people care about the colors and logo than they do the product on the court. But hey, I guess that's fine for some fans.
It will not become a cult icon because there are many other teams with a similar color scheme. It's not really fresh, doesn't look vibe, and it doesn't contribute to add anything new to what is already done.
