I think we'd just sign a player like Brewer or Wright and call it an off-season. Go after a bigger name next year. I think we would've gone after Martin if he was still available, but thankfully Minny took him.

well supposedly demps made the contract where it will be hard for the kings to match. lets hope.

Don't understand why they would match considering who they just drafted and who they having coming off the bench. Sign-and trade for Grevis sounds like their best option to get an asset for a player they no longer need.

Sac beat gy tweeted it would take 4-48 from Sac to not sign ours. Bet they met it.Gordon>Reke backers may get their wish after all.

I don't know if this means anything but...

@JohnReid64 Pacers making strong push for Knicks restricted free agent Chris Copeland.

And that would be very good move. Unfortunately Kings aren't stupid and they will not match Evans offer ;(

Why would they offer him more than us when all they have to do is match to keep him??

  10. #1685
And this is why I didn't post anything about Reke lol

You guys think we pull our offer now to? I mean if we have to cut Lopez to do it wouldn't it be the smart thing to do now knowing they will probably pay.

If Tyreke decides he wants to play here, we might be able to pull a sign and trade off.

Hopefully Tyreke's heart is in New Orleans. He could really be a cornerstone.

    I hate NBA free agency.

"I'm not going to allow my putative owner to answer that question, this is an NBA related press conference. Paul Tagliabue and Roger Goodell have collectively sung their praises of Tom and if uh ESPN has a problem with that tell Mr. Skipper to call me at my office."

FWIW, told today that Tyreke Evans is willing to sign with the Kings if they match the Pelicans money. Prefers to stay.

If the Kings match, Evans doesn't have a choice, whether he wanted to stay or not.

First of all, of course he's willing to stay if they match. His only other option is to accept the one year qualifying offer, which would cost him around $5m this season and give him no future protection in the event of a bad injury. I can't think of the last time a player decided to go this route.

Second, what do you want him to say? "I'd prefer to go to New Orleans?" Did you like it when Gordon said his heart was in Phoenix?

The guy said if the kings make the same offer as the Pelicans, Evans would sign with the Kings because he prefers to say. Since Evans haven't agreed to the Pelican's offer, the Kings can still make him an offer.

It would be nice to be on the other side of the coin for once.

Sorry for being a sourpuss, just really wanted the guy and not Mayo or Some C- player.

I guess there's still six days for SAC to flip again and put us in the driver's seat.

Can't believe it's only been two days.
