Yeah, we may be the Suns in this scenario. No reason to waste 3 days if we have any indication they will match.
The Kings have plenty of cap room to match and keep him. So, the only issue could be if they want to replace him with someone else. Based on the info above, it does not appear so.

Tyreke Evans will meet w/ Atlanta tomorrow. Still had New Orleans offer on table. Met w/ Kings and Detroit today
Since our offer, he has shopped it to the Pistons and Kings and will shop it to Hawks tomorrow. Demps should tell him we need an answer. We should not spend the next week wondering whether he can get another team to outbid us. If he is not interested, we should move on to plan B.
Why wouldn't he have a chance to see if other teams will match or exceed? I wouldn't want him taking forever, but a couple of days seems reasonable.

Yeah... if the world worked that convenient.
Screw the whole moratorium and fact that we can't sign anyone for a week.
Yo Tyreke... we need a promise, but not like in writing. We need one of those "Kushman word stronger than oak" promises. Cool? Alright man... dap it up. B/c we can't handshake.![]()
I was pretty pumped, but it looks like Reke will be back in Sactown. I thought maybe they'd just let him go with Ben M. but they aren't going to just let talent like that walk and I can't blame them.
Still hoping they let him walk though.

Yeah, I'm not sure how his heard would be in a city he hasn't lived/played in. Dude wants to see what his options are. This decision will mean years of his career and millions of dollars.
Hearing New Orleans offer to Tyreke Evans is constructed to discourage Kings from matching.

"The pelican is fearsome. Take a raven, for example: it's omnivorous. It eats bugs, and seeds, and fruit, and carrion. Compared to the well-rounded citizen that is the raven, the pelican is the serial killer of birds." - Barry Petchesky, Deadspin
