Problem is, we already have a bench player making $10 million a year. Not sure how we can afford another one. I think that info is inaccurate.

Reke is starting at SF. This makes me want to keep Gordon just to have another outside shooter with Jrue! Can we get Buddinger still if we sign Reke to 10 mil a year?

Guys... we're simply talking in circles.

Let the stories develop. Reke can't sign until the 10th anyways. You have any idea what will be reported tomorrow? Perhaps Dell is just doing his due diligence w/ Iggy and knew he wasn't a realistic target.

It's very possible he didn't want to shed Lopez/Vasquez completely just yet without exploring all possible options.

As far as Ryno, he'll continue to come off the bench, but the important thing is that he'll FINISH games w/ AD. Which is why Lopez is so valuable with his contract as a starting caliber Center playing less than 30 minutes a night. Evans and Gordon can definitely coexist. Remember, they were talking about playing Vasquez at the 3 this season some... Evans is likely in the same scenario once Vasquez is likely shipped out.

And he didn't do so well defensively when he did.

I question it as well. doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.

"I don't know if people know — I dislocated my pinkie finger. And [Tyreke] told me, 'You wanna go home or you wanna be here?' I want to be here. And he said, 'All right, then go tape it up and let's play. Let's go. We not stoppin' at no stores. Straight gas. That's what we do, just keep going.'"

he gave up the same exact PER to centers and power fowards. However, he did better offensively at center and therefore had a better net production.

Didn't his agent said he will not sign a deal if the plan is for him to play SF?

Jrue, Evans, ?, Davis, Lopez w/ RA coming off the bench. Won't win a ring but will be exciting to watch.
I dont want to be exciting to watch i wan to win

I don't care what the PER says. I watched all the games. He didn't do good at all against centers unless they were backups.

Hope Aldridge is wrong. He is also the one who reported that NBA sources confirmed we sent Noel to Philly for Holiday, Philly's 2014 1st rounder (1-3 protected) and Phily's 2013 1st rounder (#11 overall).

If it's really four years @ $44million, doesn't that cinch the view that we plan to trade Gordon if Evans signs? Presumably we would then sign one of the perimeter oriented swing players - someone like Buddinger.

Evans will assume most of the minutes that belonged to Rivers/Roberts/Henry/Thomas/Miller last year... I seriously doubt Gordon plays less than 30 minutes.

You'll like end up something something like: AD, Ryno, Gordon, Evans all playing 30+ and then having Lopez being about 20-25 with either Rivers or Vasquez seeing the next big step on minutes... likely under 20.

He didn't. The PER backs that up. But it also says that he wasn't any good defending power fowards, which I agree with as well.

This amount makes sense. I think the kings would match 10 a year. If you're serious about going after a restricted FA you have to make the team holding his rights hesitant to match.

That was tweeted by one reporter. Nobody credible has verified this claim.

"I'm not going to allow my putative owner to answer that question, this is an NBA related press conference. Paul Tagliabue and Roger Goodell have collectively sung their praises of Tom and if uh ESPN has a problem with that tell Mr. Skipper to call me at my office."

Loomis is involved with dealing with our Cap situation and from what he's doing with the Saints cap and getting good players I trust him.

Most good teams have a 7 or 8 player rotation for meaningful games. Don't need a full 2-deep of real contributors in playoffs.

    Starters:
    Holiday
    Gordon
    ???
    Davis
    Lopez

    Bench:
    Anderson
    Evans
    ??? Rivers, Miller, Smith

Gotcha so it wasn't his agent, thanks for clarification.

If Reke is signed and kings fail to match, you can pretty much guarantee that Gordon is gone IMO

    My guess:

Keep GV to trade later, cut Robin Lopez. Sign Tyreke.

Loomis has been terrible with the saints lately; why does everyone slurp this dude?
