It was a lucrative offer, of course he is considering it. Lol

I can live with ten mil a year. Anything more is probably overpaying, so we will have to be vigilant. I hope they do the three guard lineup; that would be so fun to watch.

Pretty standard, you have to overpay him a bit due to potential.

A contract less than Jrue's is pretty fair considering the market.

Weird, exactly what i said it'd take to sign him.

"I don't know if people know — I dislocated my pinkie finger. And [Tyreke] told me, 'You wanna go home or you wanna be here?' I want to be here. And he said, 'All right, then go tape it up and let's play. Let's go. We not stoppin' at no stores. Straight gas. That's what we do, just keep going.'"

You're either very good at math or an nba gm... What say you?

10/year was the max i wanted to spend on him. I was hoping for 8-9.

Pelicans would bring Tyreke Evans off the bench in a Manu Ginobili-style role, source says. Not saying it'll work. But that's the idea.

That's not a bad contract, we could be like some teams and completely overpay.

Doubt it. We need a SF. Although, the pelicans did try to get Klay Thompson away last year for Gordon. If we could revisit that it would be great.

If Tyreke agrees to coming off the bench... interesting.

Folks are worrying about the offer (if its too much)... Mickey loomis is somewhere in this process, so you can bet your *** they have a plan, and will be cap-flexible once the dust settles. 10 mill/yr for 'Reke is about right. Basketball player salaries are always ridiculously-high.

I have the same skepticism if that's true. The idea of it working is awesome but you never know.

Just a good guess. I'll get plenty more wrong

That contract offer would be a waste of time. Sacramento would easily match that; Im thinking 10 -12 million would be what it takes to pry Evans away from the kings. A S&T would also facilatate the process

If we're paying this money for another bench player this screams playoff push.

If there was ever a team to emerge out of the blue, it would be us lol. Talk about an offseason if this happens.

Of course this is the plan... Until Gordon's traded

WHAT? Bring him off the bench just so we can keep Gordon? Nonononono that would be a pointless signing we need help at 3 and 5 before a backup 2.

I'm not a salary expert. Is $10 mil a year acceptable for a bench player ? Seems high

    Hmmm... a 2nd team of:

    Austin
    Reke
    ???????
    Ryno
    Smith

Wouldn't be bad at all. We still need a starting SF though. Hell and a backup lol. Unless Austin is the 2 and Reke is the 3. That brings me back to needing a starting SF!

Depends on the Bench player. If he's a bench player that gets starters minutes and has starter impact, he should be getting starter money.

Sources say, right now they need to keep Eric Gordon's mouth shut, so anything that provokes him into lowering his trade value is a no no. Tyreke Evans off the bench keeps things calms until the Pels can get the best return on Gordon.

They are probably saying that while Gordon is still on the team... He's very sensitive you know

Monta Ellis got 5 years 55 million and isn't as good as Tyreke. Jason Terry was making 9-11 million for Dallas. DeMar Derozan got basically the same deal. Eric Gordon got the max lol.

This isn't a bad deal. I was worried I'd hear 4 years 45-50 million honestly.
