Sources are saying @TyrekeEvans would be used at SF. Helps out with the confusion of the Pelicans having so many guards.

Unless we cut Lopez (which we have until July 5th I believe) th most we can offer is ~6 million unless its a sign and trade.

That means we are keeping EG from this standpoint, and I would be fine with him as a SF

Anyone else worried about Tyreke's size at the 3?

  10. #235
Why we offered Tyreke a contract before Iggy is beyond me.

Getting Evans is a lot easier and more realistic

Not even a little. He's strong and long as hell. If he buys into our scheme and starts to put effort into that side of the ball he could be a monster. A big if but one worth looking at.

But he really does not play the 3 (or at least has not done so very effectively). Seems like a big gamble.

I'm worried about his size, him being so ball dominant, his weak jumper, his weak defense, etc, BUT he's very talented and he's been stuck in Sac town. You never know, we look to be developing one hell of a culture here and maybe Monty fixes his problems. I'd be fine with him, as long as the contract is reasonable. I just don't see why Sacramento wouldn't match any contract under ~10 million.

I never pictured him as long, but I do recall his strength. I'm just trying to imagine him going against KD, that's all.

He has a 6'11" wingspan. He's pretty similar to Iguodala when it comes to size.

    7 foot wingspan.

I think this is what it boils down to. Also still gives us the option to sign another SF to the MLE while we develop Miller.

That nightmare holds for 90% of the league's SF's anyway.

He didnt have AD in the front court to help though.. nor a solid team around him... and a defensive coach either

I like Reke as a signing for a team that needs a scorer, but not sure about his fit here if Gordon stays.
