A very fair evaluation of Trey Burke

Chris Paul could finish at the rim.....handle and pass off either hand...quicks in the cross over with bigtime seperation....open floor speed and change of pace....excellent vision....can pass off the DRIBBLE with either hand.....excellent in the pick and roll......playmaker and has the personality to direct a team....shoot the ball....handles traps...heart of a Lion.....can defend....fearless.......

Just a few notes about Paul as some have asked if he's as good as Paul...he's not......Paul did that stuff as a rookie...

paul did those things as a rookie? who's to say burke won't...?

I'd be happy with Burke. I get the criticism of him as not an elite prospect, though his combine numbers stack up with other top point guards coming into the league. But I think his floor is Mike Conley, Jr. or Jeff Teague and that's okay with me. I think those guys are solid starting lead guards who are good enough to play for a contender. Not too caught up in positions on this. Burke is an above-average spot up shooter as well. Could see he and Rivers trading off as primary ball handlers depending on how things are matching up. Same with Vasquez who can also spot up effectively. Would it be a bit of a log jam at first? Sure, but rosters are fluid and the situation with Gordon seems tenuous. If no top prospect falls to us, I'd take Burke in a heartbeat, unless you got a great trade down deal.

I don't really see the point of having to put comparisons on players. What do you think Burke will be?

I think he will be a semi to low efficient scoring point guard with below average defense.

burkes vision and hesitation dribble are reminiscent of paul + he burke finishes very well at the rim. he does not have pauls elite athleticism. burke reminds me of mario chalmers because of his ability to drain clutch 3s. say what you will but the guy wins

Paul doesn't have Paul's elite athleticism even before the knee injury.

I just see him as an average scorer and a decent facilitator... Just to be blunt an average-an above average point gaurd
