I know SF is a position of need, and Porter seems like the answer, but he's soooooo slow, can't get to the basket, and is generally pretty unathletic.

burke, oladipo, porter in that order, if we land any of the 3, i think we did awesome.
The more I look at this draft I honestly have no idea where we go.
Say Noel, McLemore, Bennett, Oladipo, and Porter are gone. Where do we go?
You could say PG, but I think the team thinks much more highly of Rivers than any of us do. You have Burke, but I just don't see Monty or Dell wanting to add another poor perimeter defender, especially with a lottery pick. You have MCW, but I think they may question some of his offensive abilities.
You could say SF, but if Porter is gone who really is left? You may say Saric but 6 may be a bit too early for him.
And then C? Alex Len? I just can't get behind that.
I think Caldwell-Pope may be at the top right now, assuming we trade Gordon.

R.I.P. to HunnyB/FlyGirl
1. Noel
2. McLemore
3. Bennett
4. Alex Len
5. Oladipo
6. Porter Jr.
If Rivers can improve on defense, I don't see why Burke can't.
It was Chris Paul's weakness as well coming out.
Weaknesses
Paul is a remarkably well-rounded point guard and prospect, but there are a few negatives to mention.
With his quick hands and dominant lateral quickness, you would expect Paul to be a dominant defender. However, he is mediocre at best in this area. While he ends up with a lot of steals, he isn't always an aggressive defender, and doesn't eat up opposing ball handlers the way that he should.
Wake Forest was a very poor defensive team this season, and it showed up in the tournament. While some of that falls on Skip Prosser's system and a few of Paul's teammates, Paul's inability to lock up primary ball handlers (go back to that West Virginia game again), is a place to start when discussing the Demon Deacons' defensive woes.

I'd say it's more mentality than ability. LeBron wasn't the defender he is now even 5 years ago. Shane Battier was a very good man defender in his prime and he was never a great athlete.
