@WojYahooNBA: Oklahoma State guard Marcus Smart will return for his sophomore season, sources tell Y! Sports. He could've been a top 5 pick in NBA Draft.
Crap... That means Burke won't be available when we pick.
Holy cow... Did not see this one coming.
@DanielVeuleman
there goes our chances of getting Burke..
I think im going to cry
**** **** **** ****!!! He and Steven Adams should trade descisions... I was hoping Adams would hold off till next year so we would have a shot at him... And Smart not declaring limits our choices... Damnit
This messes up a LOT. Even if we didn't want Smart (Probably did) then this raises our chances of not getting our guy. ****.
Wow, that is pretty surprising. I think a lot of kids jump when they shouldn't, but if you are going to be a top five pick, seems like it would make sense to go ahead and go pro.
Kind of sucks for the Pels this year since he was high on the radar, but I wish him the best.
The pelican may be the world's best designed killing machine. ~ Deadspin
Dumb decision, he won't even be a top 5 pick next year. He wouldn't of got past pick 2 in this draft.
We really need that fifth spot. I just hope to God we do not fall past 6.
Wow, I am shocked he would go back. That is a terrible financial decision for him. Next year's draft looks to be stronger and he risks injury.
Originally there was Noel, Mclemore, Oladipo, Smart and Porter. With only 4 (semi)elite prospects in the draft now, I have a bad feeling we might end up with Alex Len or Cody Zeller.
Replace Smart with Burke... we're sitting around 5th worst right now? might get lucky
Wow
I think it's ok as long as we have a top 5 pick:
First tier (in no particular order):
Noel
McLemore
Porter
Oladipo
Burke
Second tier (in no particular order):
Len
Shabazz
Zeller
MCW
RGIII
Bennett
We could be Charlotte in the Lotto last year. KARMA
This really messes things up for us...
"I'm not going to allow my putative owner to answer that question, this is an NBA related press conference. Paul Tagliabue and Roger Goodell have collectively sung their praises of Tom and if uh ESPN has a problem with that tell Mr. Skipper to call me at my office."
In his defense, this takes the pressure off him and allows him to fall to a fringe playoff team. We might as well go for Bazz now, and try to pick him up next year around the 10th pick. I would be satisfied with that.
