Breaking News Nerlens Noel Entering Draft

    http://espn.go.com/nba/draft2013/sto...ares-nba-draft

As expected, but this might force the hand of the team that get's the first pick. If it's not us it will give us a chance at a guy we might not have had a chance to pick.

A Charlotte or Orlando may feel compelled to take him at 1 since he's become the consensus after getting injured (go figure)with everyone else taking heat, maybe a Mclemore does fall into our laps.

Could you imagine the reaction if he decided to stay one more year?

    Imagine his defense with Davis
    New Orleans Pelicans-Seattle Seahawks-Atlanta Braves-Anaheim Ducks

Then you are underrating Davis's offensive capabilities...

I'm not sure why people say this, AD's offense is actually pretty good. Once he started to get it together and get more minutes he was averaging around 17ppg. And with Noel, I mean Tyson Chandler averages 10+ with no sort of offensive game. Even if they stay as is I would take 27ppg between our 2 starting bigs who are beasts on defense. Noel would be a great pick, but also a pipe dream.

let the haters hate, davis imo will have the offense of a prime kg in 2-3 years time. pairing him to noel can and will work effectively.

If he and Davis both met their potential, it'd be like a KG/Tyson Chandler in their prime front court... My goodness.

^^ Exactly. We will probably get a lot of hate for the pick because most people think the way dathrone thinks and don't realize just how good and versatile of an offensive player AD23 is already and can become more of in the future. Him + Noel would wreak havoc on both sides of the court.

He is the only person on this board who doubts AD's game, must on here just ignore him

I would be fine with drafting Noel.

Emeka Okafor - Joe Smith - Carmelo Anthony - Manu Ginobili - Jason Williams

Al Jefferson - James Posey - Aaron McKie - Shaun Livingston

Who would be opposed to a Noel Davis front court. That would rival Detroit's for deadliest front court in the near future.
If you Jimmer it, they will come.

I would too, just to see him shave the Pelicans logo into his hair.

Unless we land #1, all this discussion is pointless.

"I don't know if people know — I dislocated my pinkie finger. And [Tyreke] told me, 'You wanna go home or you wanna be here?' I want to be here. And he said, 'All right, then go tape it up and let's play. Let's go. We not stoppin' at no stores. Straight gas. That's what we do, just keep going.'"

There's a huge difference between doubting and hating. Clearly this board lacks the reasoning skills to distinguish to two.

This board goes through phases of who we should pick. I think Noel is #3 behind Mclemore and Burke

This exactly. We would have probably the youngest frontcourt with the most potential out West.

All those times we could've talked about Davis last year were wasted due to comments like this. Tsk tsk. Plus, I could see Charlotte taking Mclemore.

All this discussion is just speculation until the draft. Charlotte and Magic might take McLemore and Smart respectively, and if we luck out with getting pick #3. very well possible.

I wouldn't go that far, plus the lottery will go farther to aid the discussion than the draft. At that point it's pretty much over.

It's certainly possible. If Charlotte falls in love with McLemore (they need an offensive SG), then I could see them passing over Noel - especially since they have depth at the C position already. I don't think Orlando takes him because of Vucevic. If we can luck into the 3rd pick, then I think he is ours.
