Hornets Beat: Monty or Dell? (a poll)

On Hornets Beat this week we talked mostly Monty Williams, and one of the questions I posed requested the writers to choose between Monty or Dell.

    It was a 2-2 split.

What are your thoughts? If you could only keep one of the two, who would it be?

monty he is a good coach give him time but I am happy to have them both. I look at what Pop does and if monty was under his learning table... I will wait patiently for his progression.

Man, hard to choose. I feel like they are a package deal. (forming like Voltron).
I guess i'll go with Dell since i have nightmares about The Walrus (Bower).

This is a badly timed poll lol. Beginning of the season would have been better.

And he said, 'All right, then go tape it up and let's play. Let's go. We not stoppin' at no stores. Straight gas. That's what we do, just keep going.'"

    To all:

If david stern would have not block the Demps first trade , we would have had a playoff team by now. LOOK IT UP!!!

THINK ABOUT IT. i LIKE TO KEEP BOTH BUT IF I HAD TO CHOOSE ONE IT WILL BE DEMPS.

For deals yo, even though I think Dell would probably "win" the poll anyways, after the Lakers game I feel like the results would be more skewed to him

Heh. I guess the timing MIGHT have an influence on the results.

    I'd still say Monty.

What is the point? Why would we have to choose?

Gotta go with Dell, especially after this offseason with the acquisition of Anderson. A close race but Monty has yet to prove to me he is a top coach.

I'm leaning toward Dell but they really are a combo package. Monty and Dell always talk about how they converse with each other on transactions, so you have to wonder what Dell would bring in without Monty's input. A bit of a stretch, but it is interesting to think about.

It is good that they are on the same page, but Demps was brought in to look under every rock and find the hidden gems that everyone else missed. So far he's proven quite capable of doing that with the bottom half of the rotation, now he just needs to prove he can fill out the top half of the rotation.

Dell! Sorry Monty youre a good person but just not a good enough coach.

Just imagine if Tom Theebs had chosen new orleans instead of chicago. He is getting it done without his best player and no point gaurd. Now thats a good coach for you.

It's Dell and really shouldn't need a poll to tell you that

Are you nuts? We would have had lamar odom and not had Gordon. What are you smoking dude?

Yea who ever still to this day thinks the trade that dell demps tried to have done with the lakers was better for us than what we got are nuts!!! We would be a team with a high cap and a bottom dweller stuck at the 8 seed or a few games outside of it. In no way was that a good trade for what we were giving up. It also did not help out our future either. I thank the lord for mr stern taking care of us like he did.

this team really isn't very good talent wise right now. EJ's hobbled all year, we have a SF who doesn't need to be guarded, and big men who just aren't strong enough right now. I don't blame either one because it's a process.

people always look at the literals and say "we got EJ, etc., etc., and a pick that turned into Austin Rivers". but with the other trade we're forever middle of the pack and don't get Anthony Davis with our own pick because our record wouldnt be as bad. people seem to leave that out. agree, Clippers trade by far the better trade
