If you Jimmer it, they will come.

Last year, his defensive rating was 103, and this year it's 104 - very respectable numbers for an offensively minded big. He also shoots a TS% of 52.3%, which is very respectable/good considering the volume he shoots. His TO% is great (means he doesn't turn the ball over), and his WS/48 is terrific at .150 (even better last year at .173).

My only problem with him is I don't know what we'd do in late game situations with Jefferson, Davis, and Anderson. I can't see us spending on a big man like that who would expect to play late game situations. That's why I like J.J. Hickson, because he can give us great minutes, but wouldn't be in late.

The Jazz sit him in the crunch, and have dropped his minuets every season he has been with them. It's understandable with Millsap, Favors, and Kanter, but the guy is more hype than substance.

So posts David Lock (radio voice of the jazz)
    David Locke @Lockedonsports

Jazz defensive rating this year with Al Jefferson off the floor is 96.8. In contrast it is 108.0 with him on the floor.

    Now that's an impact player.

Don't like Jefferson, we really only need a guy around the Jason Smith talent range to round out our front court (for injury insurance.) We desperately need AD to become a legit first option on offense as Gordon is IMO best suited to second option. Would love a Kawhi Leonard clone SF and Mike Conley clone PG:

    Mike Conley / Rivers
    Eric Gordon / Henry?
    Kawhi Leonard / Aminu
    AD / Ryno
    Lopez / J Smith

That team would beast right now, thats the type of build I hope they go for. Obviously not those exact players, but guys with similar skillsets / athletic ability.

Yeah but hoping Davis will become a 1 scoring option anytime in the near future is a wish and a prayer at this point. It will take through his rookie contract for him to add the needed size/skill to be able to be considered a #1 scoring option IMO. I think Lopez is a fit to be a bench player due to his poor defensive rebounding ability.

"I don't know if people know — I dislocated my pinkie finger. And [Tyreke] told me, 'You wanna go home or you wanna be here?' I want to be here. And he said, 'All right, then go tape it up and let's play. Let's go. We not stoppin' at no stores. Straight gas. That's what we do, just keep going.'"

I'm not sure what you do there as well, but i'd assume you'd ride the hot hand between Anderson/ Jefferson or if you're playing a Bynum/Dwight you just stay w Davis and Jeff.

No, DRTG is a bad stat to use when gaging individual defensive competence (there is no good individual defensive stat, btw). He is real super bad at help defense. He rotates terribly and doesn't challenge the shot of people going to the rim. He is almost Amare bad at defense.

That's cool. I'm not saying we should, just think he fixes a lot of things we're struggling with. His defense is a concern though.

I am a Big Fan of Big Al, since i watch him play in High school in Mississippi. I think the best way is to Sign and trade deal for Big Al, get rid of Eric Gordon and Lopez for Al and Milsap, Next Trade jason Smith to PHX for Duley

Al and Milsap? Then what do we do with the face of our franchise? Bring him off the bench?

Millsap? there are better ways to spend our money. Besides, I don't think it would be wise to pay him what he is going to command just to bring him off the bench. We already have Anderson who fills the scoring 6th man role just fine.

I would love if we got Dudley on this team, perfect floor spacer and role player
