This thread is unhealthy.
It's this simple. We are not good. We have never been good all season. Monty Williams is working with puppies. In crunch time, he likes to play his experienced 25 year olds over his 19 year old.
Not saying I agree with it, but we're really jumping the gun. This season is a crapshoot. If he's lost 40 already and kept his job, I'd say its pretty secure for the next year. This is a rebuild

I think we won 48 games that year .. None of those wins had anything to do with Monty . Paul & West carried that team

Lol that is stupid. Just because his clutch stat which is highly objective is low doesnt mean that the numbers he puts up in non clutch time whenever that might be are meaningless
What's telling is that when a team has a dynamic superstar like kobe, fans come out to watch. Man, the crowd looked packed from the tv. I went to a game over the holidays and it was half empty.
We need a star, someone athletic that will put fans in the seats. Has to be Smart

Better we find out now. This will all get addressed in the offseason. I'm certain of it. Though nothing would stop Benson from making a move now if he really wants to.

my issue is that we were doing the same thing last season... and we could see that... as a team... we were getting better... we saw the fight and intensity every game... it was fun to watch even though they were losing
I don't see that w/ this year's team... esp. when we have 3 totally disturbing losses... that last second collapse to the Mavs and the last 2 games where we blew 20+ point leads (all 3 at home mind you... where none of that should happen)

You have no clue what you're talking about. West played most of the season, Okafor and Ariza were elite team defenders, CP3 is a top 5 player in this league and the western conference was weak that season. They won 46 games which was barely above most people's projection of 45. He probably cost them a few more wins by not making Thornton the full time 6th man and only playing Aaron Gray half the season even though he's much better than Mbenga. Come with some facts next time so you don't look so clueless.

Monty said Davis didn't play because he wouldn't match him up against Dwight.
But Davis was never matched up against him when he actually did play. Put him in at the 4 and let him rotate on defense- just like he was doing the first three quarters. Why change your game plan that was actually working????

Davis is supposed to be that guy. He can't be that guy this year though because, well, he just doesn't get the time. He has to 'develop'.If they don't care about the #1 pick that won an NCAA Championship in their own backyard they probably won't care about Smart.
I believe these "made up stats" are taken from the last two minutes of each half. If you can't see his drop in play in "crunch time" you truly are a blind Vasquez fanboy, and that's okay, but don't expect to sway many people here. We've watched too many Hornets games to be convinced vasquez is taking this team to the Finals.

this loss felt like the Saints blowing a 4 TD lead to the Falcons in the Dome... I would stay alone in my bedroom in the dark for a solid week... this loss was very bad for my (and from what I'm reading... a lot of people here) psyche.

Dude played on the National Championship team, was the #1 pick, and won Olympic gold all in the same year. Hell yes, even regular joe blows know who Anthony Davis. He's sniper elite as a celebrity already.
AD is a pretty big towel boy. Sitting on the bench.
I seriously don't know how AD will want to play for Monty. If I was the number 1 pick (and better than 80% of the team) I better be playing in the 4th quarter.
