Yeah. They have some legends in AI, Pat Ewing.

I really hate the philosophy of our coaching staff.

We run a slow offense, so the other team doesn't shoot as much. That annoys me to no end.

Georgetown needs to feed Porter every time down.

    Agreed. The logic is flawed.

There was an article from earlier in the year that showed our offense didn't improve as much as our defensed suffered when we picked up the pace. Basically, if we scored an additional 10 points due to pace, we would give up an extra 14 (those numbers are used for illustration and are not the exact numbers the article stated).

We play a slower pace because we are more successful at it with our current players.

It's probably because we sport some very bad transition D guards. Gordon and Vasquez refuse to hustle back most of the time.

Your bigs are more important than your guards in transition D. Your bigs are more important than your guards for defense, in general.

Classic example of tunnel vision from that UCONN guard.

    Haha yea

I wish we were a little more athletic to be able to get out in transition, play faster, get easy baskets and keep up with almost every OKC player on the defense. Right now, we are fighting I like our spirit but we are always behind... I would like to see us fighting to keep our lead sometimes...

I'm sorry. I blame our guards for a lot of defensive problems. The bigs have to help and the guard either passes or shots and misses, but all the bigs are out of postion after helping our pathetic guards. Rivers should be guarding the best guard on the other team... instead Monty insists on letting Vasquez get torched by Westbrook.

Back on topic: We have a 2 big rotation tonight. This second half will get ugly because I expect Scott Brooks to stay with a big lineup to force Thomas and Aminu to have tough covers when they play the 4.

Yeah, I'm not blaming our bigs for all of our defensive woes or absolving our guards of their failures, but we would improve more on defense if we had two ADs as opposed to two ARs.

Well yes, but I think our team as constructed now would benefit more from a defensive guard. We have Smith, Lopez, and Davis that form a pretty solid duo front court.

Lopez is the weakpoint against the teams that are good at ball movement or pick and roll. Which is pretty much all the good teams. Which is a shame because I really like how well he has played for us this year.

And that's why Smith plays in those instances. He has the ability to recover and get blocks on those driving layups.

I would rather see Smith out there than Lopez, but I'm not sure what other effects that would have on our defense and offense.

We need to gather all the offers for Vasquez we can this summer and take the best one available.

Refs are blind again. Perkins held vasquez from jumping... then Rivers gets called for ticky tack reach...

    Refs are poop.
