Is the pace thing more of a Vasquez problem or a Monty problem? I do agree that Vasquez is too slow to consistently run the break and he still misses a lot of open guys in the paint and is turnover prone. Plus add in his defense, he's probably not a long term option. I would be fine with a guy like Chalmers who can defend and make open shots and let Gordon and Davis create offense long-term. I think Vasquez's defense will be a liability as well unless the team has another big with Davis to help like the Lakers did to support Fisher who was terrible defensively. I don't see Anderson being that guy and I think he will be a liability as well in the playoffs with his lack of defense and rebounding. This team needs a big center who can defend and rebound (Drummond).
