I have had a great Super Bowl weekend...why did I turn this game on?
I ask myself the same thing every time I have turned a game on coached by Willie Green.
Despite of having a bad coach I think we have selfish players as well. No way Trey should've only scored 3 in the second half with this team. When CJ gets the ball sticks. Other players need a chance to get into a rhythm. Zion need to watch Jokic play, he understand how much gravity he brings and it makes it easier for him to get other players involved Zion just gets it and go. With that said we just need better coaching, somebody that everybody will buy in to.
Who cares. After the season Willie will be gone and we will have a high-expectation rookie coming in along with other changes. Embrace the tank!
Would not be surprised if Borrego is the coach in waiting this offseason.
I was trying to think about how many relatively healthy seasons we've had since the franchise moved here in 2002.....I think it's something like 3 to 5. Lol
Yeah. It's deflating to see BI go because that was the "we're contenders on paper" dream.
This season is obviously toast but if we were to run this team back (we definitely won't...just saying what if) and everyone including Murray are healthy, we are not a lottery team. I think we're 6th to 8th in the West.
The interesting thing is where to go from here. I HIGHLY doubt Green stays. With the new coach, do we get a top 3 pick and get a great talent and waste 3 to 4 years of Zion's time getting the young star up to snuff, do we trade Zion for more young talent/picks to kick the can down the road and build around that top pick, or do we do a more NFL and not so NBA style trade and find a team who is looking to reset and use that nice 2025 draft pick to get another star to pair with Zion and keep this run alive?
The funny thing is that we'll do one of those things but all three seem implausible to me. It's just going to be a gut punch to see us get a 5th or later pick and fade into lower lottery limbo for the next few seasons.

Good at booking Superbowl. Not good at owning teams. She is good for the society page but not good at running a sports organization.
Wait till she finds out Pelicans season is not over. Unless we forfeit the games. After she finished her duties at the official Super Bowl handoff press conference at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, she quipped, “My feet need some time off.”

Lol, I've been watching since they arrived from Charlotte. You have to temper expectations. When I say make a run I mean it the same way as I do for the Saints before SP and DB. Meaning 'making a run' to squeak into the playoffs. Just getting into the post season is the run lol. Championships are a pipe dream here but if they happen, like for the Saints, it's glorious. I just don't look at them as realistic. But that's me.

Why would you even want to win? We should be celebrating every loss.
Another reason to hate CJ. He stinks in games that matter and has success against teams when you don't want to win.
