Thread: Is it wrong to identify as a Knicks fan?

Is it wrong to identify as a Knicks fan?

Mainly because I'm a Josh Hart fan and I want to see him do well. I know all the stories and all that but I still like how hard he played when he was here.

So, as of now I'm a Knicks fan unless they play the Pels. And even then we should probably lose to try and get a better pick.

And I still feel like he was a better long term fit than CJ is/was.

I don't think CJ is the problem so much as all of the factors involved. If we had the right coach and the team was built properly from the start with CJ coming off the bench with a floor general in his stead, I think the Jonas and CJ trades made more sense. As things stand, we brought in a rookie head coach and tried to Jumpstart the rebuild before he was ready. That is why it failed. Imo

It didn't make a lot of sense to force him into a PG role in the first place.

Yep. Why it failed. Willie shares a bit of blame but Griff ultimately built the team. They harped on a lot about position less basketball which is all well and fine but even if you play positionless basketball you need to cover all bases. Griff did not and it showed in the end product.

I think the thought process was that Zion would be the primary ball handler but since he is a ghost that plan has definitely gone out the window.

I don't ever think that was realistic and that is the problem. For starters, it would be mentally faitiguing for Zion to handle that much responsibility. He already had enough on his plate getting beat up all game. He also isn't low enough to the floor and players constantly strip him and are allowed to abuse him all the time. It's one thing to experiment. He clearly needed help with the ballhandling duties. It was getting to him.
