    Pelicans Game 20 Thread - November 29th - Pelicans @ Grizzlies - 4-15

This feels a lot like tanking.

BI, Murphy and Hawkins are all questionable and GTD.
Herb, Jose, and Zion are still MIA.
Everyone else should play that matters.

Grizz are 12 - 7 at 4th in the west and have won 4 in a row. Myabe we can at least be a little more competitive after hitting rock bottom last game.

The Pelicans aren't going to be able to tank properly with all this talent. If they actually want to tank will have to move BI and CJ, maybe Zion. I'm opposed to tanking with 60+ games left but man this opening stretch has really zapped my enthusiasm which had been sky high.

That's what I thought but if they keep rotating injured guys and never get in any sort of rhythm playing together it may be a successful tank with a super talented roster lol.

Of course, everyone will get healthy by mid January. We will make a nice run and just miss out on the play in. Potentially make the play in if other teams get injured.

I guess we have to see how it plays out because if they can somehow find health and sneak into the play in with a healthy roster, anything can happen. I just won't be holding my breath.

Check out the Jake Madison YouTube podcast from a day or two ago about tanking. It's realistically already nearly impossible for us to make the play-in when you look hard at the math and our injury situation.

Also Shams said last week Zion is not close to returning. A mid December return is off . No timetable for his return.
