Imagine a starting lineup of Murray, Hawkins, Herb, Trey, Zion with CJ as the 6th man... that would be a legitimately competitive team. Those are all the players MISSING FROM THE PELICANS LINEUP. This is actually crazy

Been really impressed with BBJ. Getting a look at some of these guys is often a blessing in disguise. I can see he and Cain being useful in some of these games against the scrubs in particular. I'm of the belief that you need other players creating and producing to keep your best guys healthy. I am impressed with the fringe guys not named Robinson Earl (have no opinion on Nowell yet).

6 out of the top 7 players on the Pels are out with injury, and they are on the sideline jumping up and down like cheerleaders. The NBA is Charmin soft.

Zion probably gets slammed harder by those big booty porn stars than the fouls he takes in the paint.

Zion is manhandled more than any player in the league. He is one of the least soft players if anything. I do think he makes a ton of bad decisions when he is off his game and that needs to be corrected. As I said before we need to take a bit of the playmaking burden out of he and Bi's hands. Zion needs to know what he is doing the second he touches the ball. He hesitates too much and allows the defenses to settle. Zion's plays should start with some ball movement and end with him.

We need actual point guards on this team. Murray is one. Jose doesn’t run the offense well enough.

I wonder what Dan Dickau and the rest of the hustle bunch are doing right now?

BI could legitimately play point guard. He has the vision and passing and ball handling skills

Brandon Boston can score with the ball in his hands, which is definitely appreciated because all but 1 of our scorers are out... but the rest of his game is not there. Bad turnover from him just now, and he's easily as bad as CJ on defense if not worse.

BBJ looks good facilitating and scoring when needed. Looks like a keeper.

I feel like we may be watching 2 different games. He's played well for the 12th man playing a lot of minutes.

I agree with you. Without BBJ, the Pels would be offensively Putrid. He is a keeper on a team this injury prone.

In the game you are watching is he playing good defense?

This has been a problem since Green has been here. One thing we do (Joel and AD even made the point) that the Pels have to work so much harder for their buckets. This is a trend. We have a period (doesn't matter who is on the floor) where we either completely switch off or there is a massive breakdown in communication and the opposing team waltzed into our paint unmatched. It is too easy and it needs to be rectified if we have any hope of competing. It doesn't need to just come from Murray. Several players have to do a better job of stopping the ball at the point of contact.

These injuries are just an excuse for a pathetic coach to keep his job. His system is downright awful. It doesn’t matter who is on the floor. Every possession is a struggle for them.

This is one bizarre season. The Pels have 66% of their salary in street clothes before the 10th game. That’s unreal.

Not really but I don't expect much for a guy at the end of the bench. At least he can score. I think he's better than CJ on defense which isn't saying much.

Yep, true but we still have Willie. I've coached over 20yrs and for a Pro coach to not change up his defense to trap a pick-n-roll after it has killed your defense over and over again is inexcusable. He has to help these guys out being so undermaned. Willie will end up like DA...I only hope they don't wait until we're out of the playoff race.

Yep that’s my hope as well. Cause I have zero doubt they will continue to lose. This guy doesn’t have leadership.

Willie does not know how to adjust! How many games have we lead at halftime only to get blown out in second half? While other teams are adjusting Willie just doing same old ********e .

Yeah they are wasting a season with him. He’s terrible.

He is too slow to make adjustments (or the right ones for that matter). I see it far too often where other teams come out of a timeout and completely solve the problem. Either Willie refuses to call a timeout and fix things or we come out completely flat out of the timeout and the problem continues. I re-iterate my statement that I don't think he is ready to coach a talented roster. He has to be better or we won't compete.
