How does a small market team compete against a team that pays the most Lux tax?

"Over the last three NBA seasons, the Warriors have paid an average of $170 million in luxury tax payments. As one might expect, that's far more than any other franchise;"

These two games have really looked like a separation in class. This is why a salary cap should be issued in the NBA. There is never any parity and thats before the officials get involved.

On one hand you are absolutely right and the league would grow better with more parity. On the other hand the Golden State Warriors are the counter to the argument....since that franchise was a joke before Curry, Green, Barnes, and Thompson were drafted.

This isn’t even an argument. The Pels have more talent than the Warriors. The warriors are just ridiculously better coached.

And they look a better team. That is the sad part. It's hard to keep blaming the fits when we should still be outmatching other teams regardless. We had the better team 3 nights in a row even with the injuries. At some point you have to point to the guy at the helm.

Lol, how can you look at both rosters and say its about money? Pelicans are far more talented then the Warriors. We just happen to have worst coach in the NBA and our superstars dont care about winning...

The coach will not be held accountable. I like Willy and want him to succeed, but we are not making progress. Same old same old.

Lol, this is the worst possible take.
