He has mastered the “deer in the headlights” look though!

Willie's stock is plummeting fast. There are only so many excuses you can make for the coach. It's the same with Dennis Allen. The team never really grows. That's what bothers me. We aren't really making any progress. Gayle just doesn't have the decision making or the heart to hire the right people. She isn't ruthless enough to be an owner.

Once the loser mentality sets in it is hard to shake off. We have no belief in ourselves. Blame it on bad luck and all that. I hear you. But the coach just exacerbates the situation. I would like to see us get to a good place before it is too late. The hope is Murray brings that, but is he enough to carry a coach that needed more years in the oven? He is out of his depth.

Give this team to Borrego man

I’m pass the coaches now this is a Gayle problem she needs to sale both teams
She doesn’t know sports and can’t hire anyone who knows about sports so everyone is just collecting checks while we watch trash year in and year out

100%. Injuries are obviously a big part of the problem. But the coach needs to put his team in the best position to succeed, including controlling the momentum of the game as much as possible with timely substitutions, timeouts and challenges. That is especially true when you are short-handed. Willie almost never does that.

I get that he’s a “good guy.” But the Pels need a good coach.

A lot of truth to this. Saints should have torn down and rebuilt years ago. Should clearly be sellers at the trade deadline this year, but Loomis never builds for the future.

It's a bad sign when you are getting whooped 3 games in a row against teams with less talent. On the road or not. If the last two were close and we choked at the end, okay. We just need to get over that hurdle. Tonight was a bad night. It's not looking good for Green. We have to survive this stretch.

I'm not sure the Saints needed to rebuild so much as they needed to make better offensive selections in the draft. It's like they are trying to find 5 Colston's and just draft boring with their offensive line selections. We could have gone after a quarterback, some talented receivers and actually rebuilt. They want another Payton/Brees situation to fall into their lap.

1000% agree. If we don?t, Borrego will go the way of Mike Malone and Chris Finch as good head coaches to use the Pels as a stepping stone. Willie Green is not a head coach.

No they needed to rebuild the moment Jameis got hurt or when Dennis took over I was on saints report last year telling folks the defense is old as u know what and we would see a sudden drop I got a bunch of laughing and clown emojis lol

The saints don’t have one explosive player that can make you miss not one we barely have Speed shaheed is fast running straight ahead Gayle needs to go to other business ventures before the city start looking at her different because the fans soon will start saying what I’m saying she’s the common denominator

Honestly would probably start thinking about a Zion trade and Brandon ; Brandon is being too passive and Zion isn’t developing much at all

Not to be an apologist for them but.. Zion would function better under a coach that knew how to tailor an offense that suits him. That isn't to absolve him entirely. As a professional basketball player, defenders shouldn't be able to stand 4 literal feet away from you and dare you to shoot from anywhere on the court. He's been in the league long enough to where that shouldn't be happening. So that's on him.

Ingram was only being passive because it wouldn't benefit the team for him to go iso crazy and start forcing shots. We've seen the consequences of that, with mixed results. I prefer him working within what semblance of an offense they have, and only pressing when it's warranted.

What I'm saying in short, has already been said in here many times. We all know Zion, and Ingram have their warts. But they'd both do a hell of a lot better with a more competent coach, and point guard.

What outcome do you expect with Murray, Trey, CJ, and Herb all out?

To beat the Warriors with Curry and Wiggins out. Or at least be competitive.

Well, they'd love to trade Ingram, that's been clear for months. Problem is that nobody wants him. I agree on Zion at this point...maybe it's just early in the season and something will change, but he's lost all of his lift. There's no chance this stupid organization would take a step back by selling, but if Zion's truly a below the rim guy who can't/won't shoot...that's a problem.

Were CJ and Herb out in game one? Were they out against Portland? Injuries are a problem. There is bad luck involved. If the coach can't even compete against teams with lesser talent (when they are also missing their key players), that is a problem. We are consistently dropping these games. We are consistently looking outmatched. The team looks clueless. The coach has had the team for multiple years and the offense still looks clueless. Murray is important but he shouldn't be the deciding factor in whether we compete in games like this. It is on Green. It is on Green to fix it and it is on Green to stop the bleeding.

I am not a blindly unrealistic person who thinks having 4 of the top 6 players out is just an insignificant detail. Sorry if that bothers you!

    Lol pathetic

That is the problem with having this much talent. There will always be an excuse for the coach. We are missing x. If Y was available, we wouldn't have lost. If BI and Zion, were healthy, we wouldn't have lost. There is still enough to be competing in these games. Last night is one thing. It keeps happening and has happened consistently through Willie's tenure. Everything can't be perfect all the time. You have to make the best of situations. There are just too many excuses available for this coach. He has to be better.

I don't think that is how basketball works. I think most teams are likely to lose when they are missing 4 of their top 6 players.

Another pathetic loss. No heart, no defence no fight. We played Warriors team with no Curry, Wiggins and Melton and still looking like worse team on the floor. We need some change … fast…

They have done the exact same thing for six straight years and people will still sit here and accept it as an excuse to go out there and act like zombies. Who cares about injuries?! You still have to be a competent product on the floor. These dudes aren’t even trying to win games even when they were healthy. Now, half the roster is out so as fans we have to just accept them becoming 10 games below 500 before Trey and Murray gets back…… The issue is when they come back will others be healthy….. probably not. So, then another excuse is we are missing other players etc….. it will never end. It’s a bad freaking nightmare.
