Amateur hour. I was at the Lakers Minnesota game on Friday night in Palm Springs and I saw Stu Lantz and Bill McDonald out there on the court before the game. Seems like we are the only ones this cheap.

Good:

Daniel Theis. He has the mid range spacing needed from a big man playing next to Zion and he's decent defensively. Not a sexy high ceiling player but maybe just what the team needs out of its center.

Jordan Hawkins. I didn't see him as much of a contributor this year because the team is so deep but with him defending like that and being a good catch and shoot 3 point threat, he might take minutes from some people yet.

Zion. if he can avoid the injury curse, looks ready for a career year.


Bad:

Pelicans 3 point shooting. CJ was the only guy giving us volume and accuracy. It's not good enough, especially if they are thinking about reducing CJ's minutes and moving him to the bench.

The scrub team, except for Malcolm Hill who showed out. Man like 3 of those guys were bad enough that I don't even want to see them in another preseason game. Almost gave the game away with an 8 point lead and 20 seconds to go.

Hes at best 12th or 13th in the rotation. Maybe they just wanted a look at him agianst decent talent. Looking for that next Naji or Jose.

Hopefully he doesn't play even with those guys out lol at least Matt Ryan has that flame thrower. I'm interested to see some more Malcolm Hill, he could be the DNP coach's decision guy who fills in during injuries.

Javonte was legitimately decent last year (statistically anyways), so maybe it is just a change in scenery for him. Have to see more of him before I really count him out.
