If you had 3 days into training camp we would have our first injury, start collecting!

NASHVILLE, Tenn. ? Just three days into the 2024-25 NBA training camp, the New Orleans Pelicans have announced that star forward Trey Murphy III has been diagnosed with a right hamstring strain.
According to the Pelicans, an MRI on Wednesday confirmed the injury, which occurred on Day 2 of practice.
The team says Murphy will be re-examined in approximately three weeks.
Let’s get real here it will be the Griffin timetable of probably around 4- 6 weeks. Hopefully we get him back by Thanksgiving or closer.

Other teams might call this an injury, to a Pels fan if he isn't out three months he's just resting.

He'll come back when TMIII feels like TMIII some time in February.
BI, Zion, and CJ had a net rating of +3 when on the court together. BI and Zion had a +13.4, BI and CJ had a +13.2, Zion and CJ was just +5.4.

BI and Zion worked. BI and CJ worked. It was CJ and Zion and all three together that didn't work.

Smh we needed him for the small ball lineup now there is no chance of starting with it. Was he out of shape or something? How does a guy immediately pull a hammy his first week back?

I think he will be out 2 weeks for the injury, but a week to get into shape.

I don’t think this will hurt as much as last season unless other bodies go down. Keep everyone else healthy and I think we will be okay. We have a rotation of bigs, brought in a lot of wings and I think Reeves and Hawk should be able to fill a bit of that 3 pt quota. We have to make the starting lineup work. Whether that be moving CJ to the bench or changing our scheme entirely- we have to make it work.
