What happened to the depth of this team that everybody was raving about?

People love jumping aboard the latest and greatest narrative without doing any critical thinking of their own

If I could get a one for CJ, I'd say "adios".

To me is nothing more than a decent 'role player' who comes off the bench. And, if he can't score, he's basically useless.

Mac, are you at the Utah game?

I agree with this 100%. We can all see why CJ came to NO so willingly. He wanted someplace where he could just Jack it up anytime he wants to.

The Pelicans need 3 point shooters to stay with these teams. It's not just Zion, when Zion returns you are still going to need the 3 point shot to keep up on the score board. Pelicans made 8-3 pointers to the Knicks 19 -3 pointers. Sad.

And why did we extend cj when we didn't even have to at that time?

This is what games look like when you don't defend. Pathetic game is the most delicate statement. We need a shake up or we won't even make it to the Play in Tournament...and not long ago we were 1-2 in the Western Conference. We felt too confident and lost Zion on top of that. I will not mention the overslept Trade - deadline... #PelsLife

It's been a totally different team on the road all year. Even with Zion we were barely .500 on the road. The difference is the shooting by the role players in road games. I haven't looked at the numbers but I would bet the role players are woeful on the road. The main 3 guys, Jose, Trey and Naji can't hit the side of a barn on the road from 3 it seems.

Not to mention everyone but Herb forgets how to defend when not in the SKC.

Looked it up 3pt % home and away

    Trey. .44% vs .33%

Jose. .34% vs .32% not as large of a difference

Naji. .30% vs .32 he's actually better on the road

    CJ. .41% vs .34%

BI. .36% vs .47% also better on the road

Looks like the big 2 are Trey and CJ. Understandable for Trey but not so much for CJ.

These dudes just either don’t accept coaching or they aren’t being coached. Not a single player on the team looks better now than the start of the season. That’s just not normal under any circumstance. Who on the team has improved? Can anyone name one player? I can’t. They all look terrible. Even the stars look terrible because they do absolutely zero to make their teammates better. Just a badly coached team in my opinion that pouts non stop. They pout all game, and show zero heart. That’s a direct image of the coach.

Face it, we are a very limited team.

If CJ can't score, he's a detriment. What good is he?
If Herb can't defend, he's a detriment. What good is he?
If Trey can't get his shot off, he's a detriment. What good is he?
If Jose' can't play-make, he's a detriment. What good is he?
If we can't get the ball to Jonas, he's a detriment. What good is he?
If # 1 can't get on the court, he's a detriment. What good is he?

    AND (perhaps the biggest)...............................

If the coach can't make in-game adjustments, he's a detriment. What good is he?

Other than that, we are a pretty good team.

At least this season is different. Instead of sucking out the gate we waited until mid season to suck.

I'm honestly not sure how they turn it around. The defense is the most worrying to me.

Was Dyson that much of a difference maker on D? I guess you can't have too many good defenders...
