    Pelicans November 25th - New Orleans Pelicans @ Memphis Grizzlies - 11-7

Injuries: CJ is out for Health and Safety Protocol, Trey is questionable still following last game.

Meanwhile in Memphis, Bane is still out (like he was when we last played them), as is Santi Aldama (doubtful) and potentially John Konchar (questionable).

Memphis are 1-4 in their last 5 games, having only beaten OKC in that stretch: one of those 4 losses was an 11 point loss to us.

We know it's possible for us to win this. We know we can beat this team. They have some key guys out - but they are at home, which we know can change a lot, and they have talent on that team so they cannot be overlooked. Will be interesting to see how we approach his as a squad.

    Let's go!
    Basketball.

Make no mistake, the ball moves much better with Jose' running the show and not CJ (or anyone else for that matter). Better defense, too, despite his size. I know it will never happen, but Jose' and CJ should permanently switch roles.

Now, come on DD!!! Come on Kira!!!

    ....or....

    Come on trade deadline!!

It's still very early, so this is more of just a casual observation, but if Denver and Phoenix lose tonight and the Pels win, they'll be #1 in the West.

Should be interesting. Jose was great on Ja in the 4th last time, so I wonder what Willie's strategy is with him starting this game instead.

Zion didn't play last time and Herb/Jonas both had foul trouble so the paint was wide open on both ends for the Griz. Zion's touch is back, but I predict a frustrating game for him with no-calls given how the officiating usually goes against them.

Bad calls or not, JJJ will be a challenge for him on both ends. Tonight's unsung hero better be LNJ. May have a JAX sighting tonight, too, in attempt to match JJJ's athleticism.

One sure bet for tonight is JJJ blocks - over.

    Trey is playing.

Meanwhile Memphis missing Bane and Aldama. Also Konchar and Steven Adams are questionable. Lost 4 of their last 5.

Yet Memphis is a -2.5 favorite.

    Take Memphis.

Jonas needs to wake up. Adams took it right over him twice in a row and then Jonas walked on offense. Ugly start for the big guy.

Looks like the size matchup is similar enough with JJJ and Zion that refs gonna actually give Zion a routine call. I like it. And just like that Jose got another one on him!

How is the challenge successful and the call overturned, then Jose shoots 2??

It's crazy how teams are 3pt specialist when they play us.

Not sure how I feel about Herb shooting 3's so much.

Memphis does not respect our ability to make the 3 ball and i don't blame them... but damn we can't defend them

    NCAA

Its been pretty ugly so far. Adams dominating the paint. Pels ice cold shooting and Memphis having no trouble scoring.

We are missing CJ because nobody is putting their stamp on the game right now. Zion was quiet on offense and on the boards, BI not looking his best, and none of the role players rising up yet.

44 points in the quarter. Guess CJ was not the problem on defense.

Going to need BI to step up with CJ not in the game. We need more from him.

That #1 defensive rating we statistically have is so bogus , it's laughable. Give me the good old eyeballs everytime.

Brooks sure can shoot a 3

Where is DD? He'll stop Brooks dead in his tracks.

Not sure how we expect to beat a team who can't miss from 3 when our 3's aren't falling.
