I mis-typed the record in the name of the last game-day thread and sadly we lost it, therefore the title is the same today but this time it's accurate.
Tonight we take on the 24-24 Atlanta Hawks, who are 2-4 over their last 6 games after a 6 game win-streak post allstar break got them up to above .500.
25th in DRtg and 9th in ORtg, the Hawks are - in that respect - a bit like a slightly less overcharged Pelicans. The offense is a touch worse, but the defense is a touch better, and the result is that they have a slightly better record and a slightly better net rating overall.
Still, the Hawks are currently ravaged by injury. DeAndre Hunter missed their last game, John Collins is out for a week, and both Dunn and Reddish have been out for a while and aren't looking to return just yet. Sadly, we have no idea yet if we'll be able to take advantage of that: after all, Ingram, Zion, and Lonzo all missed last game and we don't yet have word as to whether any of them will be back tonight. I'll update the thread later if/when I see any news on that.
Let's home one or more of our guys return and we can have a bit of a bounce back game tonight after a close loss last game.
