Lakers imploding makes our season that much more tolerable. Talk about a dumpster fire.
Since taking over as president of the Lakers, Magic Johnson never fully committed to the job. Often he was traveling and away from the team. His office hours were limited. He didn't do a lot of scouting. Running an NBA team takes a tremendous commitment of time and energy.

Magic Johnson steps down as Lakers president. He hasn’t said it outright but is hinting strongly that he planned to fire Luke Walton and that won’t happen now. He is getting emotional and hasn’t told Jeanie yet he says.

Couple of extra relevant tweets. Wow.
Basketball.
Every subsequent tweet that comes out about the Lakers is better than the next. This is my drug of choice.

Lakers coaching staff fully expected to be fired in hours after the final game of the season. They had believed they were gone for months. Now? Magic quits in public, saying he's too scared to tell Jeanie Buss face-to-face. What an embarrassing episode for a historic franchise.

Dude thought he had the cure for everything.
If you Jimmer it, they will come.
Man I am disappointed . Magic saying he didn't have the Kohonas to tell Jeanie p-t-p . So, he goes public before he tells anybody.
I'm listening to him filibuster, talk in circles, deflect, talk about everything else in his life. This guy is a MAJOR COWARD ! Period .
GREAT BIG FAT PHONY !!! Smile & all.
And this is allllllllllllllll. AD's fault !
And Lebron is stuck in the dumpster fire for the rest of his career. Will he make the next GM trade him somewhere else?
Interesting point by Steve Bulpett, that if Magic thought he could get Davis, he wouldn't be resigning:
I get that Magic Johnson's life was a lot easier when he wasn't president of the Lakers, but I wonder how much of this is also him realizing the long-shot of getting a major free agent this summer. Also think he might hang around if he thought he could trade for Anthony Davis.

Think it's safe to say that in the historical ''Lakers vs Celtics'' rivalry, the 2010's goes to Boston?
The only downside is that most Laker fans are too stupid to even realize how awful this is.
Good lord has Romona Shelburne been drinking all night? She looks awful.
