11) Memphis Grizzlies
The Grizzlies are a model of consistency with Joe Johnson and Elton Brand. Those two stars will share the scoring load that Allen left and not miss a beat. Theo Ratliff was a nice addition and they should be among the better defensive teams this season. Jamal Crawford is just coming into his own as a point guard and Mike Dunleavy Jr should have his best season in the league. Memphis could easily make it back to the Western Conference Finals again this year.
The Grizzlies might need Shareef to be more than just an expiring contract this season

10) Houston Rockets
The Rockets will look for a bounce back season offensively from their wing players who didn't shoot well last season. Expect Jason Williams to be able to find them in their spots and get a more inside outside balance. Al Jefferson will reluctantly continue his role as the teams 6th man leading a very good bench including Aaron Mckie, James Posey, Mickael Pietrus. If the Rockets don't have success this season expect them to blow it up. Or they might just blow it up anyway because they're the Rockets.
Camelo could take off this season in Houston
99% sure I'm not blowing it up. I just realized Melo improved his outside scoring to A and kept his inside scoring at B+. He could easily be a top 5 scorer this season.
Emeka Okafor - Joe Smith - Carmelo Anthony - Manu Ginobili - Jason Williams
Al Jefferson - James Posey - Aaron McKie - Shaun Livingston
9) Phoenix Suns
The Suns return the same young core and brought in a valuable contributor in Etan Thomas, giving them an 8 man rotation that could do battle with anyone. Luol Deng could be the leagues most improved player this season and David West could be much better defensively as well as the team as a whole. Phoenix lacks All NBA talent but they don't lack talent. It's hard to win a championship with a roster constructed this way, however.
Vince Carter is the oldest returning Sun at age 30
8) Dallas Mavericks
Many Dallas fans are expecting newcomer Caron Butler to put them over the top this season, but while Dallas has an elite starting five their bench is really lacking. Scoring options will be interesting to figure out as the season goes along but the scoring options will likely be the three perimeter players. Regardless don't expect to see any Mavericks near the top of the scoring list this year. Expect the coach to constantly fidget with the gameplan (drugs) as Dallas has the personnel to play many different styles of basketball.
Brandon Bass could be the only good bench player Dallas has.

I'm fine with Seattle and LA being ahead of me, and the East is overrated. But nice write-up. Also hoping your wrong about not seeing any Mavs at the top of the scoring list. I am expecting Antawn to revert to his old scoring ways. But the playing with the gameplan is inevitable, unless I get it right from the jump.
Lol Beeball is doing an amazing job everyone being upset with their rankings probably confirms it (myself included)
Was hoping for a Lil more love its all good underdog and not being feared is fine by me we will prove them wrong(hopefully)

7) Chicago Bulls
It's funny that the Mavericks were criticized for the lack of a bench because this team has no bench at all. Regardless the Bulls have some players with sick handles for their positions: Stephon Marbury, Jalen Rose, Lebron and best of all Stanko Barac (his teammates just call him Stank). With a healthy Lebron James all season expect the Bulls to do wonders and for Lebron to be the favorite to take the MVP award away from Chris Paul. It will be interesting to see if their coach who takes a hands off approach mixes things up.
Seriously, watch Lebron James this season
