The New Orleans Hornets have extended an offer to start SG LeAndro Barbosa.
The deal is reportedly worth in the 60M range. "They don't want him to hit the open market," sources indicated to Yahoo Sports.

The Chicago Bulls are in advanced discussions on a max contract extension with forward LeBron James, according to sources close to the process.
The Bulls hope to hear back from James by tomorrows deadline, but sources told ESPN.com this week that negotiations on a new deal for Chicago's cornerstone have been positive. The source indicated that James may choose to test the FA market, but knows that he will likely ink a new 5 year deal with the team. His lack of college recruiting is in large part the reason making the FA rounds intrigues him.

Leggooooo! Can't wait to see who signs![]()
I was nervous at this thread when I didn't see anyone sign.
Emeka Okafor - Joe Smith - Carmelo Anthony - Manu Ginobili - Jason Williams
Al Jefferson - James Posey - Aaron McKie - Shaun Livingston
I'm not sure the sim happened yet....
Top 3 going no where in my opinion.
OOOOOHHHHH Hornets aren't messing around with Barbosa. But Neither will the SONICZZZ

"I don't know if people know — I dislocated my pinkie finger. And [Tyreke] told me, 'You wanna go home or you wanna be here?' I want to be here. And he said, 'All right, then go tape it up and let's play. Let's go. We not stoppin' at no stores. Straight gas. That's what we do, just keep going.'"

UFAs will be getting bigger deals no doubt.
I thought Jay Williams and Caron got over paid.
I refuse to overpay, which is why in most part, I never sign anyone.![]()
all those deals are moveable for expirings though. It's the James Posey contracts that kill you.
I don't regret Joe Smith but I regret Posey now since I have a young SF in Pietrus who produces. I should have given Posey no more than 4 years 24 million totaled.
I think you're one major piece away from having a long term core but need to improve the overall talent level of the team (backups and complimentary starters). You're doing a fantastic job being patient. If I were you I'd be working on getting the talent level up and then work on acquiring that last foundational piece via trade. With RFA, it'll be very hard to acquire those guys on the market.
