Saints

Marques Colston – Just five weeks after breaking his collarbone in the season opener, Colston returned to top form this week with 7 catches for 118 yards and a touchdown. Colston made a number of big-time catches when needed and seems to have regained his status as Brees’s favorite wideout.

Jimmy Graham – Despite the fact that he broke his head coach’s tibia, Graham had another astounding performance, hauling in 7 catches for 124 yards, including a couple of big third-down grabs.

Sean Payton – If you ever wondered how tough Payton is, you have your answer. Despite a broken tibia, he strapped on an ice pack and called the rest of the first half from the bench before moving upstairs.  It was a courageous move.

Sinners

Pierre Thomas – After scoring his first touchdown of the season last week, Thomas had a woeful game against Tampa Bay, gaining 11 yards on seven carries and coughing up a first-quarter fumble.

Shaun Rogers – One of the Saints biggest free agent acquisitions continued to disappoint, making only one tackle.  Rogers was brought in as a run stopper, but his failure to clog up the middle led to Earnest Graham’s 109 rushing yards.

Malcolm Jenkins – A week after getting juked out of his jock strap by DeAngelo Williams, Jenkins missed a number of open field tackles and was also partly culpable for a blown coverage that led to a 65-yard passing touchdown.
