Jrue return!!!!!

If there are no setbacks, he likely goes tonight. I wouldn't expect more than 12-15 mins. Basically takes most of Douglas mins and a few from Cole. Goal would be to get all the rust off by playoffs

Let's hope Monty keeps it to a 7-8 man rotation for the next four games.

Rose and George had a time limit. I'm sure Jrue will have a time restriction as well.

I just can't stand that 2nd quarter lineup where it's all reserves. I wish Monty would stagger starters, that's been hurting us every game. I hate the Cole/Douglas/Cunningham/post-injury Anderson/Ajinca lineup - it kills our offense. Maybe Jrue will help a lot with that, being that Monty is so stubborn with not staggering lineups.

This. Omg, this. Off the top of my head, I can't name 1 top 10 offense that consistently does this like we do.

We need him for Sunday. He is our best weapon against Harden by a landslide

At this point, you can't count on him giving you more than 15 mins or so on Harden. He is not the savior right now, just an upgrade over Douglas

Exactly, his 2nd quarter lineup has always been an issue throughout his coaching career here. That's why I have my doubts about us being able to get that 8th seed. We have the talent but sorely lacking the coaching skills.

Which that by itself is a massive upgrade to our bench. I expect him to play 15-20 minutes until playoffs. He will move up to 20-25 with no setbacks in playoffs. I would not play him over 25 minutes for the rest of the year.

We lost to Houston by a single possession last game.

I'll take 8 minutes against Harden because no one else on our team can keep him from doing whatever Harden wants. Jrue doesn't even have to contribute a single thing offensively against Houston. If he even picks up Harden for 15 minutes on defense and just spots up during offensive sets I will be more than happy.

And yeah I obviously realize that he hasn't played in forever, he is likely very out of shape but still the upgrade is huge if for no reason other than that it will almost force Monty to stagger his guards.

If Jason Terry guards him he better go on the block

When I read that post initially I took it as you had some inside info that something was gonna be announced today. Glad to hear that Jrue is at least upgraded, and there's a chance he'll play before the season is out.

Question for McNamara cause I'm really curious: How does it work when you get info but can't divulge it? What I mean is, what are the mechanics of this? You're told by someone within the organization, but you're asked not to say it? Is there a 'if you say something, you're cut off'?

Things are just divulged off the record. People let me or others know that it is not for public knowledge.

I know it is frustrating to fans, but I think the Pels handled the Jrue thing right. If they would have told the public 10 days ago that he could be back today, and then there was a set back, some people might have blamed Jrue. That is what happened with Chicago and D Rose. Instead, they internally believed today would be the day but never told fans that it was possible. It's frustrating to the fans, but I think that is respectful to Jrue.

Thanks for answering. I was hoping for a mafia type response that may or may not involve morse code, but the truth is always good :)

The real question is: Should I be allowed to use this to win wagers? Should I collect on what people bet earlier in this thread?
