You are talking about wins and losses, and as I have always said - I don't judge people by that because that is outside of your control. I am judging Monty on his process and his philosophies, then projecting those things forward with a healthy roster. I do not believe he and Dell are on the same page, and I no longer believe Monty can move beyond his stubborn 1990's philosophies.
I have doubted him for two years now, but have tried to remain patient and give him the benefit of the doubt, but the fact is that Dell is not building a roster to Monty's philosophical strengths. Monty would be great coaching the Grizzlies or maybe even Indiana, but Dell does not appear to be building a roster like that.
I do not believe Monty is a bad coach, and I wouldn't be surprised if he did a great job on his second go around, but he is not right for this particular roster.
