I am actually giving the other players an advantage by doing this.

Lets also remember some context from history:
Stephen Curry, 3 year college player:
Summer League stats:
17ppg, 32%FG, 4rebounds, 4assists.
He was outplayed by guys like Johnny Flynn and his own teammate Anthony Randolph and Anthony Morrow overshadowed and left him looking like a third wheel. Summer League is not going to write a persons career, especially one game.
Simmons is going to be a triple double machine. He's going to be a similiar player to Giannis IMO just a little smoother running the point. I think Hield will be fine and just needs to find his shot along with some players who can actually get him the ball.
What do you mean how? I am comparing Hield's first game to guys who have had 1-2 games under their belt already. Giving them the advantage of being settled in and having a rapport with teammates.
Which lets keep in mind, my only point was to show Hield is not some unique outlier in having a bad performance. Pretty much all of the guys we debated ad nauseam sans Dunn have struggled so far.
Dunn looking bad right now. Still early in the game and guys like him get better as they go.
Thon Maker has been an absolute beast. I'm with the Bucks now on who cares about his age. He's looking to be the steal of the draft IMO. He looks like he's playing with kids and that's how it should be. The Bucks can be something serious in a couple of years. That team is a good PG away from being serious contenders in about 2 years. Next Warriors team building from within. Middleton/Parker/Giannis/Maker can be a great group. Just need a PG.
Kelly Oubre has also had a good SL. Wanted us to snag him in a trade but I think the Wizards made the right move holding on to him.
Be careful putting too much stock in Summer league. Anthony Randolph and Anthony Morrow were the top scorers/performers in a 2009 summer league team that featured Stephen Curry as a teammate. A summer league where they outperformed such future scrubs like James Harden, Russell Westbrook, Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan.
I think it at least bodes well that Thon isn't struggling but I am just hesitant to put too much stock in summer league.
Those guys had already been in the NBA a year and that makes a big difference. Not saying Thon is going to be great but right now he's looking like it.
Yes that some in the media even thought the 76ers should of taken Ingram over Simmons is laughable. Ingram has a chance to be great, but I think Simmons will be!! I thought that was so stupid to even consider lol
Good God how was that not a walk by Payne lol
The only reason it was ever a thing was because Simmons chose LSU. Had he gone to a Kentucky/Kansas type program that was full of great coaches, great supporting cast and good systems, Simmons would of been a far and away top 1 pick.
LSU fans don't want to hear it but the program is why the questions about Simmons exist.
I do think Thon has done enough to show he at least is not going to be grossly outclassed and completely lost like many scouts worried.
He has shown enough that I think he at least belongs in the league as a prospect. Where it will go from there is anyones guess.
If Diallo was doing what Maker is everyone here would be freaking out as him being the next Kareem. Diallo has looked very good while Maker has looked great. With his skill set he has potential to be an elite center and how he looks now I don't see anyway he is a bust. He is definitely an NBA player.
Diallo is actually 19. Not a 23/24 yr old who spent the entire last year working out to get ready for the NBA.
You're assuming his age with none of that actually being facts and it's completely besides the point. If Diallo was 2-3 years older people would still be going zonkers if he was doing was Maker is doing right now. Guy is playing like an absolute beast plain and simple SL or not. Diallo has played very well and better than I thought. I'm sure a few days ago you weren't sitting here saying Maker should be playing like the best big in SL because they have rumors he is older and has been working out for basketball for a year. Which every player has been doing by the way. If we had drafted Maker everyone here would be freaking out as well saying we don't care how old he is.
Any highlights of Diallo's game available?
only Pelicans team video available

LMAO pawel!
Guess that makes Hield our Carl Carlson.
Also, good God, Valentine's shot looks pure at times.
And for a guy who had rebounding listed as a weakness, Chriss's getting 16 boards is encouraging.
Calling Maker a beast based off SL is jumping the gun just a bit.
And my point is you can't compare an actual 19 year old who needs to go through Strength and Conditioning and bulk up to someone who is easily 4 years older. You might as well compare Diallo to AD as well.
And without getting into all the details because it's well documented elsewhere, Maker is without a doubt older. He graduated high school in Australia in 2010 then moved to America and started back over in the 8th grade. His official documents will say 19 and that's why he was able to game the system, but we are talking about a person who spent 10 years going through 8-12 grade twice.

Jimmerrrrrr lol
One player I really like who has had a good SL is Kyle Anderson. Would love to snag him from the Spurs. Would fit in great for what we need. Can play the SF position and be a stretch PF. He has a similiar skill set to Draymond Green. Very versatile player who can handle the ball and play some point forward. Has improved on his 3 point shot a lot which will make him a very good player if he continues to improve. Doubt the Spurs have any interest in moving him especially after getting rid of Diaw but I like his game a lot.
Jimmer could average 20+ ppg in the NBA I'm sure. It would be with him having the same role he had in college taking all of the shots. If it's not built around him he doesn't seem to have any impact. Very surprised he hasn't been able to make a role for himself as a 3 point sniper or bench scorer. Seems everytime he gets that chance he blows it. He should be dominating SL. If he could actually run the point he might have a shot at being a contributor but he hasn't shown that ability.
Murray has looked very good tonight. Nuggets are going to have a nice young back court. Let's hope Buddy can be Buddy Buckets tonight so we don't hear a bunch of premature told you so. Dunn and Maker have looked the best in SL so far while for the most part the other top 10 picks have all had their night. Would love to see Buddy go off tonight.
still think Murray is too slow.
Haha fair, to me though that's more indicative of his teammates than of any passing excellence of his own.
In any case, I feel that Murray, despite having only spent one year in college, is adjusting to the speed of the nba better than Hield. This probably has alot to do with the SL teams as well though, and I guess at the same time its exciting that Hield still has decent projection for improvement, if you consider his ball handling ability alone.
Come at me bro haha

Wait. Why are people praising Murray again? Because he scored 29 points on 25 shots? Because he sure didn't give them anything else.
I think the biggest difference and what makes this impossible to judge is Murray has other shooters around him. He also has an NBA PG in Mudiay.
Buddy on the other hand has Diallo (who is still very raw and needs to add weight) and some bags of chips. I can pick out plays here and there for a handful of guys but it's been really tough to watch.
Yes it's kind of hard to really get a feel for the 2, when one team is pretty good and the other is a joke. I think Murray is gonna be a damn good offensive player, but he will never be great cause I just don't see him as an all around kind of player. Now can he get to that all around good to great player, yes with work. I think Buddy is a way better athlete, defender, and rebounder. I would say shooter as well, but Murray has a nice shot just not as good as Buddy's yet..
Sounds like Kris Dunn has been shelved per concussion protocol till further notice.
