I hate that we think Evans is anything more than a 6-8 million dollar player. We will take the good work we did with Jrue and destroy it with Evans at that price.

11 mill a year is still a little high to me.
Per the offer, numbers often get bloated when coming from player side. Was later told $44 million; could be more with incentives etc. Big #

Ugh this is horrifying.
4 years 11 mil!!! Stop tweeting ill take it!
soooo now after we sign tyreke all we gotta do is trade gordon and our 2015 1st rounder for paul george :)
jrue
tyreke
george
ryno
davis
championship
So don't worry guys, it sounds like Evans' camp is trying to inflate the numbers to put media pressure on Demps. I would go with the originally reported 4 years/$40 million. Incentives could bring it to $44 million.
I will be content with 40. Slightly concerned at 44. Mad at 48.
RT @SportBlogNYC: BREAKING: Tyreke Evans agrees to a four-year/$44M with the New Orleans Pelicans. The Kings are not expected to match the offer.

Idk if true just posting
10 million a year for a 6"6 guard with lightning handles, great passer, good rebounder, incredible finisher and an improving jumpshot? yall are nuts
Blergh. That's an awful lot of scratch for a guy that has seen his game regress since he won R.O.Y. Now, was that because of a lack of talent or being in a dysfunctional organization?
In Dell We Trust I suppose....
Here come the threads.
no, I'm saying defensively he was pretty much the same and offensively he was better, therefore being better overall.
I mean yeah, he'd struggle against Dwight, but in that situation I'd just have Anderson on Dwight and I'm not going to get too worried about an offense being run through Dwight Howard instead of James Harden or Steph Curry or whoever signs with.
So... He is done whoring himself out? Is this confirmed?
I think we could live with 4/40, anything more than that is just ridiculous.
I think it's too much, but welcome to the life of a small market team. You have to overpay potential or "headcases" and hope the player reaches said potential or mature.
Guys, his PER was good enough for 5th amongst all SG's. Behind only Dwayne Wade, Kobe Bryant, James Harden and Manu Ginobili. And he's 6'6 and 23 years old. I can only assume the Kings are a big reason this guy gets awfully underrated.
Nobody has prospered under the Kings. How is he supposed to grow as a player when his coaches all sucked, the management sucked, and the ownership sucked! The FACT is that this kid has MAJOR talent, and I trust that Monty can bring some of that out in him. I expect him to thrive here.
RT @mr_jasonjones: I'm told the Evans offer sheet is worth between $44-$50 million based on incentives. Numbers not solid, but range makes sense.
The difference between 4/40 and 4/44 is $1m per year. That's like Lance Thomas. I'm not concerned.
When this deal allows us to move our current SG who's getting paid $14m a year and is unreliable, I'll consider $11m for Tyreke to be a big win. Tyreke and Gordon have accomplished the exact same thing in the league: 1 exceptional season, no All Star appearances.
Well, this sucks. It almost negated the good work of getting Jrue.
We paid Gordon 15 mill for 42 games. I'll take Reke at 11 mil for 70+ (if not all 82).
Evans is very bad player. No jump shot, needs ball in his hands to be productive... I don't know what Pelicans GM is thinking.

do you guys trust this site? it says we signed him for the 4/44
I guess it beats like 14-16 mil for Iggy. At least we saved 3-5 mil from that deal.
I think a player worth over 10 million should at least be an occasional all star and I don't think tyreke is that. Just a personal opinion. If we get him I hope I'm wrong.
I bet his agent is leaking figures. I think it's $40mil with incentives that could reach $44.
A backcourt trio of Jrue, Reke and Austin... sheez there better be some ankle tape ready!
I would include Gordon but he might be on his way out.
Edit - and Pierre jackson has some sick handles too. Should be fun to watch if nothing else.
The way I look at it, we may be overpaying but it isn't a contract that we will be desperate to move. That makes it ok by me.

this might be a foolish thought, but to me its not as much about what we pay Evans as it is what we have left to pay others.....we still don't know what the master plan really encompasses.....I just know they have one....
