And the reviews were glowing. A lot of love for the Pels grabbing him at 13.

Wow, crushingly dull point.

6'6, okay shooter. Can sort of do a bit of passing. Basically nothing else worth noting. Not good on defense, not that athletic.

With Killian Tillie, Grant Riller, Sam Merrill, all still on the board, this is a clear swing and a miss. I would have let Hughes go undrafted.

This off season is starting to remind me of the old experiment where the they tell a kid if he can keep from eating a cookie in front of him for 5 minutes he can have two cookies after that. Waiting to eat the cookie is supposed to demonstrate maturity and self control and the ability to defer gratification as marker of life success. I always thought the experiment was flawed. Sometimes the kid may know that the the future cookie is a scam. Maybe he's been told several times before to be patient, defer the reward and it will pay off only to see the future cookie never show up. Maybe someone ate his cookie while he was waiting. Maybe he waited and the cookie tasted like sawdust. A lot of bad things can happen while you wait for the other cookie to arrive...

Behaviourism is largely debunked, classical conditioning is nonsense in all but the most minor of ways, psychology doesn't work like that
