Screw it let's get Jay Scrubb and watch him tear up the g-league.
Dammit Dallas.
Killian Tillie would be my first priority at 39 now. Riller after that, and someone like Nate Hinton would be cool too
Do we have the 39th pick or is it traded?

Trading a non-lottery pick today for a non-lottery pick three years from now is Peak Pelicans.

And anti-pelicans from 2013-2018.
The Washington Wizards have zeroed in on Czech guard Vit Krejci with the No. 37 pick, a source tells ESPN.

Draft and stash. Can't tell you a huge amount about Krejci, honestly. 6'7, needs a lot of physical growth. Can't shoot, decent handle, okay passer.
Stupid Dallas :(
To be clear, it’s best to not think of these picks as actual Pelicans picks.

If things go to plan with Zion and Ingram, nearly all of the acquired picks should be used as trade chips to get proven guys alongside of them. https://t.co/5MnTMrbPRl
How about Eboua at 39 and stash him?
The Utah Jazz are honing in on Vanderbilt guard Saben Lee with the No. 38 pick.

Killian Tillie
Grant Riller
Killian Tillie
Grant Riller
This is highly unscientific, but I texted five people I know around the NBA (non-Pels staffers) about their thoughts on Kira Lewis.
— Scott Kushner (@ScottDKushner) November 19, 2020
And the reviews were glowing. A lot of love for the Pels grabbing him at 13.
LOL Pels dont want no more rooks
Elijah Hughes, who is then traded to the Jazz.
Traded the pick soooooo.....
The New Orleans Pelicans have no plans on passing on Elijah Hughes with the No. 39 pick, a source tells ESPN.
— Jonathan Givony (@DraftExpress) November 19, 2020
Wow, crushingly dull point.
6'6, okay shooter. Can sort of do a bit of passing. Basically nothing else worth noting. Not good on defense, not that athletic.
With Killian Tillie, Grant Riller, Sam Merrill, all still on the board, this is a clear swing and a miss. I would have let Hughes go undrafted.
OKAY
So what are we getting back from Utah?
Trade to Utah! This is just like the US election!
What we get
nevermind
Sacramento drafted Woodard
What did we get?
I'd be good with Tillie at this point.
This off season is starting to remind me of the old experiment where the they tell a kid if he can keep from eating a cookie in front of him for 5 minutes he can have two cookies after that. Waiting to eat the cookie is supposed to demonstrate maturity and self control and the ability to defer gratification as marker of life success. I always thought the experiment was flawed. Sometimes the kid may know that the the future cookie is a scam. Maybe he's been told several times before to be patient, defer the reward and it will pay off only to see the future cookie never show up. Maybe someone ate his cookie while he was waiting. Maybe he waited and the cookie tasted like sawdust. A lot of bad things can happen while you wait for the other cookie to arrive...
Or we going to end up keeping any of these picks?
Details coming soon. Wouldn't expect anything huge.
These trades :biglol:
i got my wish in picking hughes then we trade him lol...
Killian Tillie would be a nice pick to challenge Nico Melli for the stretch 4 role
Shooting for sure
That’s why all of them are being pushed so far into the future.

Sources: San Antonio is selecting Tre Jones at No. 41 in NBA Draft.
— Shams Charania (@ShamsCharania) November 19, 2020
Eh
I actually really like Elijah Hughes. Shame we're sending him off.
We got plenty of picks for Myles Turner now
Pelicans are targeting Nick Richards at No. 42, per source.
— Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) November 19, 2020
Apparently this pick is not 'really' ours, according to MM. No idea about whether that's true or not given that no news has come through.
I have no thoughts on Nick Richards.
Griff. Has done something Dell Demps could never do.
And we don't have the 42nd pick right? Nick Richards?? Who??
