Davis is on the active roster for tonight's Team USA game

Just got the official word. Not sure how much, if at all, he'll actually play. I'd assume he's expected to play some since they added him to the roster for this game specifically.

Congrats to the BROW.....but I was hoping to see him with our young guys. Of course, this is the oppurtunity of a lifetime for him. Guess Blakey Wakey hurt his knee trying to dunk on someone. What a scrub.

I'd bet he hurt it while trying a 720*, off the wall, behind the back, from the FT line dunk. Everyone knows you can jump out of the gym dum****, and nobody cares except for Clip fans. Most overrated player in the game in my opinion.

Davis remained in Las Vegas as a member of the U.S. select team (although he traveled to Los Angeles for the ESPYs on Wednesday) that scrimmaged against the Olympic team, although limited to being a spectator as his ankle healed. But he has made enough progress that he was expected to start Thursday night in the exhibition game against the Dominican Republic.
So Davis is starting tonight according to USA Today.

    This is awesome

Had I told you guys a few months ago that come July we'd see OUR Davis starting any USA Olympic game I probably would have been banned
    Wherehappens.

That has to be a misprint. He hasn't practiced with the team at all except in 5 on 0 drills if I remember correctly.

I imagine that's supposed to say that he's expected to suit up.

This may actually be worse for his development. I think he'd get more experience out of playing in the summer league than playing with team USA.

It must be such a bummer to be a fan of this team.

Yeah the guy that was doing the report from Vegas for ESPN said that AD didn't practice at all because he was recovering form the ankle. I hope he's healthy enough to play.
