Oh this team still plays?
Where is Jahlil Okafor? Where is Nurkic?
@DanielVeuleman
Those pels games are funny, inconsistency at highest levels
Asik 4 fouls in 4 minutes. I'm actually impressed
Will be so interesting to see if Buddy in his 2nd season. **fingerscrossed**
"he led with his face, didn't he"
hahahahaha
A rare Buddy dunk
Yea let's just let Holiday walk... LoL great idea!!
Jrue has consistenly played at a star level now that he has finally had the time to get back in basketball form after a rough off season. Right in his prime and healthy with his best basketball ahead of him. We would be stupid to not bring him back. Unless we land another star or a high draft pick trading him makes no sense. We don't have a problem getting mid tier players here. For a Butler, George, Porter, and a few others would be only way I'm thinking trade.
Buddy is showing what we can consistenly get from him in the future with further development. Kid is going to be a stud and someone who can put up points fast.
Man, weren't we going after Tyus Jones once upon a December?
D'OH! See? Why is AD in there?
Also, Andrew Wiggins.
That's another Jimmy Butler type. Is Brandon Ingram another? (the kind of guys we'd trade a 1st or 2nd overall pick for).
The Wolves are horrendous
I don't think it's that simple. If Jrue would sign a NOT max contract with us, sure. But we don't know that and being a small market, we have to fully maximize each dollar. This I know for sure: Jrue cannot outplay a max contract. Add in the injury history + we don't know if he even wants to stay and the decision for me is to trade him and use the money elsewhere.
Davis should be sitting
Use the $ where? On more Solomon Hills and Etuan Moores? Jrue doesn't stop us from being able to sign another stud this year. Hopefully we can land someone in this draft but even if we don't we can still make room for another stud player. He can be a great 3a/3b with Buddy and leave us with 1 big missing piece. We lose Jrue and we then have 2 big missing pieces. We have enough trouble just getting 1 player here and you expect us to then all the sudden get 2 here? Having his bird rights also give us advantages we won't have making it tougher salary wise to fit 2 guys in by letting him walk.
Why on earth would Buddy not be playing? Gentry should be fired for these type of things alone.
Jrue's 3 lazy pass TOs per game is enuff for him not to expect the max.
This team is so stupid.
Lets get the 10th pick in the draft and suck for the next 20 years.
All good points, but a) you don't know he wants to stay and b) he can't outplay a max contract. So I'm essentially saying, by not trading Jrue, there's no good ending here. You're essentially saying if we trade him, no one wants to come here anyway.
We're fricked.
