Yeah I like grits but even last night he made some real bad plays. I mean he has to realize right now we need him to be more of a pg then a sg and yet he continues to take bad shots or not even pass the ball.

Jameer Nelson has agreed to sign with New Orleans, league source tells ESPN.

I would cut Allen before Crawford. At this point Allen really doesn't bring much to our team and is not the same player he once was. If he had an average 3pt shot then maybe but he offers nothing but solid defense. Crawford bring a lot more to this team. Adding Nelson would make much more sense at the moment then Allen as well.
Good signing. Now jrue can go back to the 2.
Never been so excited about a deep bench guy. Really important pickup.
"The pelican is fearsome. Take a raven, for example: it's omnivorous. It eats bugs, and seeds, and fruit, and carrion. Compared to the well-rounded citizen that is the raven, the pelican is the serial killer of birds." - Barry Petchesky, Deadspin
Pelicans have the hardship exemption... don't have to make a cut until Tuesday
This is a great signing. He isn't deep bench, he is heavy rotation.
And boogies tech was rescinded.
If this team could just find a legit SF we would be set. I would put us up against anybody if we could land a Barnes, Hood, Middleton, or Fournier caliber wing to plug into the starting rotation. No way should Dante be our starting SF when he should be nothing more then a backup stretch 4 that can play the 3 getting spot minutes each game. We have the assets to bring in a stud on the wing and we need to get a deal done soon. Nelson is a great pickup and perfect backup PG for this team. If Nelson had been here against the Warriors we win that game imo. We were in desperate need for a PG when Holiday was out.
The Pelicans are waiving guard Jordan Crawford, league sources tell ESPN.

That was quick.
"I'm not going to allow my putative owner to answer that question, this is an NBA related press conference. Paul Tagliabue and Roger Goodell have collectively sung their praises of Tom and if uh ESPN has a problem with that tell Mr. Skipper to call me at my office."
Can we find a new home for Jrue Do Do Holiday before December?
Blahhhh Crawford can do too much sometimes but man, losing him is gonna hurt. He was really our only legit scorer off the bench. Hope it doesn't bite us in the end.
Yeah, team desperately in need of perimeter shooting cuts one of their better perimeter shooters. I wonder if they were too close to tax to keep Crawford and use exemption for Nelson.
