Marbury is a bonafied Star in this league. Wasn't even the socring focus to my team and only had 1 turnover per game while averging 9.2 assist. Jamison scored 22 ppg on a team that lost 50 games. I hope you're not trying to compare the two?
Also Marbury played on a team that was 1 game away from the championship and possibly winning it.

This is a Mega trade for lakers and an inexperienced move by Trell to give up so much. Giving up Two future all stars in Davis and Oneal for Marbury pretty much. B Davis for Marbury is equal talent. But Trell is just giving away Oneal and that pick. He could have gotten a much better package than what hes getting in return. I think I offered him better than that just for B.Davis. Bad move for Nets. I could see why Lakers would be thrilled tho.

IMO I don't think Baron is close to Marbury. They're 1 year apart.

i guess I would have that point of view too if i just got the deal you got. LOL
But looking at the stats marbury basically put up 4 more points per game. he also played 3 or 4 more minutes than davis. BUT davis is the younger of the two by two years and has a MUCH better salary than marbury. I would still consider Davis for Marbury a fair talent trade if you are just looking to change players.

It's the Dale Davis for J Oneal and 21st pick that makes this a pitiful trade for the NETS. hes basically getting NO talent in return for those assets. J Oneal and the 21st pick could have netted Trell another young solid player to build with or he could have just kept them and built with marbury and J oneal.

I dont know man. You might as well just admit that you pulled a fast one on Trell because its pretty hard to justify what you are getting in the trade for what you sent. More power to you tho. must be a hell of a negotiator or Trell wasn't thinking when he agreed.
