Wow! What A Breath of Fresh Air

Listen to the Q&A...this franchise has never...NEVER had this type of leadership at the top. What a selection. Not overly excited about Alvin coming back, but whatever. I think with this pick, changes the narrative.

Frankly, I think Gayle just told the naysayers to go stick it. This is her vision, not Tom's..hers. She has not so quietly become a force, not only in the NFL(changing rules) but the NBA.

Maybe we were too hard on Alvin

Look, I love Alvin. He needs to win more games. I feel strongly that Griffin isn't going to pull any punches with him and their longstanding relationship will help make both of them better here.

I'm willing to give that a chance. I would rather move on from Alvin now, but if we're going to be forced to keep him, he NEEDS to be better. If he sucks next year again, then there wil be absolutely no excuse to keep him.

You'll get no argument from me there. I wanted to keep him. Outside of liking him, just to minimize the upheaval. He has to be better and I'm glad he has the chance to prove it.

As much as I have my doubts about Gentry, and I think that there are plenty of good reasons for those doubts, he's not my rage-button.

There's are only two things that the front office could do right now that would make me just switch off and rage-out.

    1) Keep AD instead of trading him, without him even signing the extension.
    2) Keep AD and trade Jrue instead.

Either of those two things would be it for me. Anything less than that, and I think I'll find a way to at least pretend there's a silver lining.

And that is a low, low, low bar. Because I can't see any future where the Pelicans decide to keep AD. And I can't see us ever trading Jrue. Not now.
