This team need shooters in the worst way. At a minimum we need Bamba and Beasley. Collins or any or decent names player would be icing.

If we were to move on from JV, what?s the minimum you?d take for him and who would we replace him with?

  4. #79
It's worth noting that when I support a JC trade, that's not instead of JV for the most part, it's an 'as well as' trade. JC would be playing C only in the sort of lineups Nance currently plays C in - and the fun thing is that you could play Nance at the 4 still alongside JC in those lineups because he provides a very different defensive look.

Still need a defensive c especially if you move JV and Jax. Bamba would be nice. What would golden state give up for JV? I’ve liked Kuminga.

Nick Richard would be an excellent get too.

Instead of taking on Collins salary, I'd rather make a trade for a guard then go after Taylor Hendricks in the draft. He's pretty similiar to Collins except he's better on defense. I think he's the type of big man Willie would love.

Hendrix looks good. I like GG Jackson and Leonard Miller too.

Just got an alert from Bleacher that we're in on OG.

Suns, Pels, Pacers in on OG
Phoenix, New Orleans and Indiana join Knicks in race to trade for Anunoby (Shams)

Since it's apparent that JV is not for long with the Pelicans...I can see a JV for Anunoby trade being hashed out.

    How about:

    Toronto gets: JV; Graham
NOLA gets: Anunoby; Otto Porter (currently out for season)

With no 1st round picks (at least 2) going to Toronto....I doubt it very much.

Would require a 2nd trade as we would not have a 5.

Why? We barely use the one we got. In crunch time, because of the way we use him, Billy can sit on the bench just as good as JV can.

There are 48 minutes in a game. What happens to the 10 rebounds a game JV brings in only 24-26 minutes a game? Who bodies up the bigger 5s in the NBA? So, we just become the first successful team to give up on the position?

    Billy's 'chopped meat'?

Look. I don't want to get rid of JV at all, but it's apparent that the team doesn't believe in him. If they did, they wouldn't be playing a guy giving up 40 pounds and 4 inches** to the 'apparent MVP' this year while the team is giving up offensive rebounds so much that the folks seated on the otherside of the court wanted their money back.

**Just like we gave up 35 #'s and 4 inches in the Murrray / Alvarado match up.

Yeah, Billy is chopped meat. Not someone any team would give significant minutes to. JV does his job for a reasonable salary. I would hate to lose him. I agree though that Willie seems to have lost faith in him late in games and his minutes are shrinking.

I can't help but see his name as OG Anybody

Can a pick swap be traded? Because it would be really valuable to a good team. Thinking like pick swap with lakers for Joe Harris from the Nets

None of these teams have as many assets as we do, so we should be favored here. The only issue would be which of our young core will be included.

Right. "Having assets" and being willing to part with them are 2 different things.
