    How about this...

Trade #6 and GV to Boston for Rondo
    Sign Iggy, Goudelock
Sign Ryan Hollins or Robert Sacre
    Resign Aminu, Lopez, Mason

    Rondo/Rivers/Roberts
    Gordon/Goudelock/Mason
    Iggy/Aminu
    Davis/Anderson/Smith
    Lopez/Hollins or Sacre

That is easily a top 4 team in the West

  4. #4
#6, Gordon, and Lopez for Cousins
Sign Iggy, Gerald Henderson, Demarre Carroll, Calderon
Trade Vasquez, Darius Miller, and Lance Thomas for Lou Williams

    Calderon/Rivers/Roberts
    Henderson/Williams
    Iggy/Carroll
    AD/Ryno
    Cousins/Smith

Now that's a crazy roster turnover. I wouldn't hate it.

People are already saying Gordon is progressing nicely so far, so who knows, maybe he will be healthy. So with that in mind, id keep him to see if he can truly produce at the level we desire.

In the draft, I am torn between Len and Burke. Burke could be our next floor general. He has all of the skill sets to do well at an NBA level. He also has excellent shooting and great distributing skills. Another thing about him is his heart and desire. He plays with passion, hard work, and a positive attitude that will truly effect the pelicans. Now to Len. Len has arguably the most potential in this draft as a true 2 way player. He has a nice shot, but can also shot block. The problem is his ankle. Right now, I gotta go Burke.

In FA, go after Iggy and Hickson. Iggy provides lock down perimeter defense and great passing. Hickson provides nice depth and good post offense.

    Dream offseason results:
    Burke(if ready)/Vasquez(if TB is isn't ready)
    Gordon/Rivers/Mason
    Iggy/Aminu/Miller
    Davis/Anderson
    Lopez/Hickson/Smith

Well he did say dream, didn't he

I love Carroll, but I'd rather save the money and keep Miller. I love his progression. But I get how that helps gets Williams. All in all a crazy roster turnover but a good damn team.
    Wherehappens.

How the Heck will the #6, Gordon and Lopez for Cousins work ? You are looking at 25 million for Cousins ! NBA says "NO DEAL" Right !?

The NBA only vetoed the trade with the Lakers because they could. They owned the team. They have no say in any other trades unless it violates rules.

And salaries don't have the match exactly if teams can absorb it with salary cap space.

I still wouldn't include our #6 if at all possible.

They don't have to match exactly even if they don't have cap space.. They have like 10 percent leeway.

And seriously thanks for stating this about vetos, people keep thinking the veto was a conspiracy ..

"I don't know if people know — I dislocated my pinkie finger. And [Tyreke] told me, 'You wanna go home or you wanna be here?' I want to be here. And he said, 'All right, then go tape it up and let's play. Let's go. We not stoppin' at no stores. Straight gas. That's what we do, just keep going.'"

Love Cousins the basketball player talent-wise. Hate Cousins the immature trouble maker. Do you think Demps and Williams would even consider bringing in such a head case to put with a young Davis? I don't think Williams has the patience to deal with him.

Do I think so? No chance. But this is my dream offseason.

When we start the "What will likely happen" offseason thread, I will put:

    Draft Otto Porter
GV and Lopez for S&T Brandon Jennings
Sign Corey Brewer, Jason Collins, Dejuan Blair and Francisco Garcia

    Jennings/Rivers
    Gordon/Garcia
    Brewer/Porter
    Ryno/Blair
    AD/Smith/Collins

Why do you think Brewer is more likely than Carroll?

And the thought of Jennings next to Gordon makes me nauseous. I just can't see that working.

Brewer at least had stretches this year where he could hit the three. I also think Brewer has more versatility defensively, as he can guard 2's and 3's. I love Demarre, but I think he can only guard 3's.

Agree that Jennings and Gordon arent the best pairing, but I also believe that Dell moves Gordon eventually, so I think he deals with that pairing for the short term until he can move EG.

I think something like this is their Plan C. I think they miss out on Plan's A (Iggy) and B (Pek) and get something like this. Hope I am wrong.

Oh, OK. That seems more along the line of what they would do. I do not see them bothering with Cousins either. I am not a fan of Jennings at all, but it seems Demps is. Brewer at the right price could be a nice role player.

It's a really simple theory to explain. Whether you agree with it or not is another issue. The theory is:

I would rather have just one year left on a lease in a crappy apartment

    vs

Three years left on my lease in a crappy apartment

Again, if you believe both apartments are crappy, the sooner you get out, the sooner you can move into somewhere nice.

    My dream offseason:

Draft Ben McLemore as he falls.

    4 team trade

Pelicans: Danny Granger, Moe Harkless, & Eric Bledsoe

    Pacers: Eric Gordon

Magic: Greivis Vasquez, Lance Stephenson, & Caron Butler

Clippers: Arron Afflalo & Brian Roberts

Sign Al Jefferson & Martell Webster. We send Lopez to the Jazz just to get rid of him and make sure we get big Al.

    C: Al Jefferson, Smith
    PF: Davis, Anderson
    SF: Granger, Harkless, Miller
    SG: McLemore, Webster
    PG: Bledsoe, Rivers

noah is the absolute perfect center to put next to a.d. i absolutely could not agree more. he is my favorite center in basketball and his game would compliment ad perfectly. i think they may be more inclined to spend big bucks on a 1 or a 2 instead of iggy, despite his great d
