IF we could get the Suns pick

    2. draft burke and oladipo and sign iggy or budinger
    burke
    oladipo
    iggy/budinger
    ryno
    davis

    3. draft oladipo and otto porter and sign brandon jennings or teague
    jennings/teague
    oladipo
    porter
    ryno
    davis

Just #5 in a very weak draft for Gordon? Seems like we could get more.

Well since we can't trade Gordon to Phoenix till sometime in July it is impossible. If it were possible I'd take option 1. But my dream would be Alex Len, Porter, and sign Tyreke Evans.

Not impossible at all. Deal could be made, Phoenix select the player we want, trade completed after July 1.

Just clarifying things here. The Pelicans pick 6th and the Suns pick 5th, but to answer your question, I'd want Burke, Oladipo and sign Iggy. Iggy's contract replaces Gordon's so he'll be the only person making 8 figures annually for the Pelicans until Davis is due his extension. This scenario might b my favorite of all posted.

    EDIT:
Damn you guru, u got my hopes up now. Don't think the Suns can just absorb all of Gordon's contract but they have some pieces I'd be interested in. I'd take any of Dragic, Dudley, either of the Morris brothers, and Shannon Browns 3.5 million expiring contracts to acquire that pick. Plus if we Gordon for a draft pick we would have a ridiculous amount of cap space.

Be happy you're just ridding yourself of his terrible contract.

    @Guru

1 and 3 seems highly unlikely, so I'll go with 2.

McLemore\Olidipo, Porter\trade down, still sign Iggy cause he can play the 2 or 3. We are a little upgrade at the 5 away from perfect. I know that's a lot of youth but Rivers, McLemore\Olidipo, Davis, and Porter for the next 3 to 4 years with Iggy, Ryno, and Smith for some veteran leadership.

Hopeful lineup if Porter was to fall and still manage Bledsoe some kind of way. (if we can't get Bledsoe this year go after him hard next year with our cap room.

    Bledsoe, Rivers
    Iggy, McLemore\Olidipo
    Porter, Iggy, Miller
    Davis, Ryno
    Lopez, Smith

Neither I, Monty, or Dell would do that deal. They don't want more rookies.

If I read right, it wasn't moving up, it was keeping ours and acquiring theirs..

"I don't know if people know — I dislocated my pinkie finger. And [Tyreke] told me, 'You wanna go home or you wanna be here?' I want to be here. And he said, 'All right, then go tape it up and let's play. Let's go. We not stoppin' at no stores. Straight gas. That's what we do, just keep going.'"

Yeah. That's what I don't like. I don't even wanna pick this year because I'm a selfish, anxious, impatient fan who wants to speed up this rebuild.

    Next year's Suns pick maybe?

I will take that in to consideration when reading your posts from now on. If you can't handle a long rebuild then maybe small market teams just aren't for you.

I said this way back that I want to make this trade which I would love. Burke/Oladipo Burke/Porter or Oladipo/Porter would all make me the happiest person ever! That team would be so set up for the future.

If this were to happen I think we would have to get Porter and Burke. Besides for Iggy and Budinger who else is there?(Brewer?) Plus Iggy is older and I believe he'll re-sign. Also not many great PG besides Teague and Jennings(Collison, Augustin?). But, Jennings is looking for a big market and unless CP3 signs with Atlanta they will keep Teague(from what I've read). Also, CP3 won't sign with us. At SG we could get Mayo(who I love), Evans, Tony Allen, J.R. Smith, J.J. Reddick, Nick Young.
    Welcome to be here

I would do it for option 1 or 2. I'm not really interested in Jennings.

Gordon for a 5th pick and a clean start is fine with me. Wash our hands and if he does well I wish him well.

Do you think PHX values EG more than Olidipo or another player at 5?

I don't think the money is the issue and since they loved him, I bet there is an opportunity if Dell wants to move on.

The benefit of getting 5 and 6, frees up more cash to give CP and DH a call. We can easily fill with a few other players.

i would love to take porter at 5 then swap our pick for bledsoe too...how would yall feel about this?

We'd probably have to take on a bad contract from Phoenix also... still highly unlikely but we'd be hella-fun to watch with all those youngins.
